Siddarth Sinha - Fontainbleau, FR
Stephen Thompson - Quakertown PA, US
Brian Valenta - Emmaus PA, US
Robert Walko - Perkasie PA, US
International Classification:
H05B037/02
H05B039/04
US Classification:
315/149000, 315/294000, 315/155000
Abstract:
A wireless control system for lighting or the like has a central processor that receives commands from keypads and other control devices, and sends commands to dimmers and other controlled devices. The central processor also receives status reports from the dimmers and sends updates to the keypads, in order to ensure that displays on the keypads are up to date.

System Bridge And Timeclock For Rf Controlled Lighting Systems

US Patent:
2005000, Jan 6, 2005
Filed:
Oct 8, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/681062
Inventors:
Robert Walko - Macungie PA, US
Jon Keagy - Perkasie PA, US
Jason Craze - Allentown PA, US
Glen Kruse - Lansdale PA, US
International Classification:
H05B041/36
US Classification:
315149000
Abstract:
A method for operatively interconnecting a first and second lighting control subnet is disclosed. In the method, a link claim is transmitted to the first and second lighting control subnets from a bridge. The link claim directs the first and second lighting control subnets to wait for a lighting control command, which is transmitted to the lighting control command to the first lighting control subnet. A random wait time is assigned to the first lighting control subnet and a maximum random wait time is assigned to the second lighting control subnet. Finally, an acknowledgement is received from the first lighting control subnet.

Timed Control System With Shifted Time Features

US Patent:
2005009, May 5, 2005
Filed:
Oct 31, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/698654
Inventors:
Robert Walko - Macungie PA, US
International Classification:
G04B019/24
US Classification:
368028000
Abstract:
A control system with a clock or calendar based control has two time frames defined for assigning control events during different days of the week. The weekday time frame is defined as Sunday noon through Friday noon, while the weekend time frame is defined as Friday noon through Sunday noon. The defined timeframes are shifted from conventional definitions of weekday and weekend periods, which permits appropriate control scenarios to be realized that are closer to typical expectations. The control system uses a simple, two-timeframe control that permits greater flexibility in realizing lighting control applications without increased cost.

Radio Frequency Lighting Control System Programming Device And Method

US Patent:
2005010, May 12, 2005
Filed:
Nov 6, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/704521
Inventors:
Glen Kruse - Lansdale PA, US
Jason Craze - Allentown PA, US
Robert Walko - Macungie PA, US
International Classification:
H05B039/04
US Classification:
700009000, 315149000, 315291000, 700011000, 340825220
Abstract:
An independent radio frequency programming device automates a setup process for a lighting system with lighting control devices and master controls. The programming device intercepts communications between the lighting control devices and the master control during an initial setup phase. A start function permits the programming device to provide automated setup information to the master controls. Once the automated setup process completes, the lighting system is fully programmed with behavior functions for all lighting control devices.
