Interests:
I have many interest outside of food, and yet no matter how I turn, it always leads back to food. I use food and the experience I have with it to reach out to teens and young adults that are struggling. I teach them how to cook, and empower them with the necessary skills, discipline, focus, drive and passion that it takes to be a great cook. I have seen first hand the positive changes it can make in someones life, never mind the enriching experience it gives me. The power of food is unmatched by religion, politics, war, anger, the ever pursuit for all things gold, the fight you just had with your boyfriend, the poor grade you got on your math test or the yelling you just got from the boss you don't respect! None of that matters when you sit down and eat a great plate of spaghetti.... now does it? Let's all pay more attention to our kids.
