I chose psychiatry because I saw that emotional pain and mental dysfunction can be more difficult to overcome than many physical ailments. I work collaboratively with patients toward improved wellness. Often patient input can determine the best choice among treatment options. But if limits are imposed by dysfunction or urgency, I will choose the course to pursue and explain my decisions.
