Kellen worked as a summer intern for American Hydraulics from May to August 2009. During this time Kellen proved to be a reliable an didicated employee. While at American Hydraulics he analyzed our process flow, developed training and testing aids, and provided support during our inventory. Kellen used his engineering skills to analyze the entire manufacturing process. From his analysis, American Hydraulics has cycle time and capability for each step in the process. This information has proved to be useful in reconfiguring our production process. The training and testing aids he developed have been very useful in qualifying and training new employees. His support during our annual inventory aided in improving the inventory process. In summation, I would recommend Kellen, his skills and work ethic would be an excellent asset to a company in need of industrial engineering support.

This is a letter of recommendation for Mr. Kellen Johnson who is pursuing a LEAN ENGINEERING MANAGER [Machining/Metal Fabrication/Metal Forming/Welding] position. Mr. Johnson was a student in my graduate decision making course (a combination of business analytics and operations research) here at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Academically, Kellen did an outstanding job in my course. The term paper he wrote was excellent and of high quality. Based on Kellen's performance in the class I would place this student in the upper five percent of all of the students that take my course. I know Kellen is a hardworking, mature, and intelligent person. He is definitely leadership material and worked well in course related activities. A good communicator, Kellen was professional and behaved in a manner consistent with what I expect out of a graduate student. If I still owned my trucking business, I would hire him. I am sure Kellen will be successful for whatever organization is fortune enough to recruit him. I can recommend him without reservation.

Kellen Johnson received a Bachelor Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in December 2010. Currently he is pursuing a Master of Engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. He has been a student in my class both as an undergraduate and a graduate student. He completed the senior design class (IMSE 450) under my direction and took the advanced occupational performance class (IMSE 919) from me. Kellen excelled in both classes. Both classes required initiative and perseverance. There was much work to be done in the classes and several deadlines to meet. In the senior design class, team work and original ideas were necessary to be successful. In the advanced ergonomics course much reading and detailed knowledge was required. Kellen balanced a work schedule and academics to demonstrate excellent performances in both classes. I have known Kellen for four years and found him to be hard working, dependable, knowledgeable and punctual with his work. His work has been professional and focused. His abilities have allowed him to be prepared to practice engineering as well as pursue graduate work. He always has shown a desire to get better and to make meaningful achievements. He is has been cooperative and reliable. I am confident that he will continue to be a productive engineer and one who will continue to progress in his professional career. I expect him to be a leader at his employment and a contributor to society. He will be creative and he will complete tasks. I recommend Kellen Johnson for advancement and higher level assignments.

I had the good fortune to select Kellen Johnson for an internship in the Marketing and Public Relations department of Madonna Rehabilition Hospital in spring 2009. Kellen's assignment was to enter meta tags and keywords on the administrative pages of the Madonna Web site and to research other ways to increase the site's search engine rankings. Kellen exceeded the internship responsibilities, researching many sources of information to learn of best practices for Web site search optimization. He not only entered meta tags and descriptions, but also selected key words and descriptions that were most relevant to the page content. He also researched other sites to compare and offered suggestions for making our site content easily detected by search robots. I was impressed with Kellen's work ethic and genuine interest in making the most of the internship experience. He quickly became a part of our team and all department staff enjoyed working with him. If you have the opportunity to hire Kellen, get him before another company does. He has an excellent educational background, Nebraska values and integrity and would be an asset to any organization. I would be pleased to provide more information by phone or email, 402-483-9572 or email@example.com.
