Shallow Box Binder Cover

US Patent:
6478336, Nov 12, 2002
Filed:
Dec 4, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/728386
Inventors:
Lam H. Tran - Westminster CA, 92683
International Classification:
B65D 8567
US Classification:
281 29, 281 22, 281 31, 281 32, 402 70, 402 73, 4012406, 40653, 4065401, 40405, 40722, 40724, 40726, 40797
Abstract:
A shallow box binder cover is provided for a binder containing a plurality of pages. The cover has a stiff, opaque core through which a plurality of display openings are defined. These display openings are surrounded by the structure of the cover core. A separate transparent plastic blister or box is located in each of the display openings. Each transparent box has a raised interior bubble surrounded by a base having mounting flanges projecting laterally from opposite sides of the periphery of the base. These mounting flanges are held against the inside surface of the front cover core so that the raised interior bubbles project into the display openings and into close proximity to the outer surface of the cover core. A front cover liner is disposed across the bases of the boxes to define separate, hollow enclosed cavities within the interior portions of each of the bubbles. Selected three-dimensional objects are placed within the bubbles before the front cover liner is disposed across the bases of the boxes.

Tissue Box Cover

US Patent:
2002006, Jun 6, 2002
Filed:
May 4, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/848042
Inventors:
Lam Tran - Westminster CA, US
International Classification:
B42D003/00
US Classification:
281/029000
Abstract:
A tissue box cover having a top with a tissue access opening defined therethrough and flat, surrounding depending side walls provided to house a conventional cardboard box of facial tissue. A display opening is defined in at least one of the side walls of the tissue box cover. A blister formed of stiff, resilient, transparent material having a base, a raised interior bubble portion projecting outwardly from the base, and flat base flanges projecting in opposing lateral directions from the bubble portion is mounted in each display opening. The bubble portion of the blister projects into the display opening from the inside surface of the tissue box cover side walls. An ornamental object is positioned in the enclosure defined by the bubble portion of the blister. This enclosure is closed from the inside by a backing plate panel, and preferably also a decorative support panel sandwiched in between the backing plate panel and the base of the blister. The tissue box cover is preferably formed with display openings and transparent enclosures in all of its upright side walls. The enclosing portion of the tissue box cover is preferably mounted atop a turntable that rotates about a vertical axis relative to a stationary support.

Shallow Box Display Frame

US Patent:
2002010, Aug 15, 2002
Filed:
Jun 15, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/880947
Inventors:
Lam Tran - Westminster CA, US
International Classification:
A47G001/06
US Classification:
040/800000, 040/768000
Abstract:
A shallow box display frame is provided for a three-dimensional ornamental object. The display frame is formed with a surrounding border having inner and outer surfaces. A hollow bubble projects from the outer surface of the border. The bubble is closed at the inner surface of the border by a flat closure member that is thinner than the border and which seats in a seating recess that surrounds the bubble on the inner surface of the border. The flat closure member resides in the seating recess so that its exposed surface is in coplanar relationship with the surrounding portion of the inner surface of the border. A hollow enclosed cavity is defined within the bubble and a three-dimensional display object is loosely entrapped within the hollow cavity.

Multi Purpose Contact Lens Care Compositions Including Propylene Glycol Or Glycerin

US Patent:
2003012, Jul 10, 2003
Filed:
Nov 18, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/299038
Inventors:

US Classification:
422/042000, 510/112000
Abstract:
Multi-purpose solutions for contact lens care provide substantial lens wearer/user comfort and/or acceptability. Such solutions include an aqueous liquid medium; an antimicrobial component, preferably a biguanide polymer present in an amount of less than about 5 ppm; propylene glycol or glycerin in an amount sufficient to increase antimicrobial activity; a surfactant component, preferably a poly(oxyethylene)-poly(oxypropylene) block copolymer surfactant, in an effective amount; a phosphate buffer component in an effective amount; a viscosity inducing component, preferably selected from cellulosic derivatives, in an effective amount; and a tonicity component in an effective amount. Album Slip Case With Transparent Display Wall And Display Retainer

US Patent:
6202838, Mar 20, 2001
Filed:
Oct 19, 1999
Appl. No.:
9/420525
Inventors:
Lam H. Tran - Westminster CA
International Classification:
A47G 106
A47G 2900
US Classification:
206232
Abstract:
A photo album case or other storage container is formed with an outer shell having laterally enclosing walls and an end structure opposite an open end to the shell. At least one transparent display panel is formed in the shell, and preferably the shell is formed from a single sheet of transparent stock. A stiff, inner display retainer is inserted into the open end of the shell and fits into the storage cavity defined within the shell. The display retainer conforms to the shape of at least the transparent display panel wall. The display retainer preferably extends beyond the display wall to extend across another of the inner shell surfaces immediately adjacent thereto. A visual display sheet, such as a photographic print, is located between the transparent display wall and the display retainer. The display sheet may be merely inserted in between the transparent display wall and the display retainer, or it may be mounted upon either the retainer or the inner surface of the transparent display panel wall. In any of these arrangements the display retainer presses against the visual display sheet to hold it firmly against the central area of the display wall.

Double Album Display

US Patent:
6267413, Jul 31, 2001
Filed:
Sep 12, 2000
Appl. No.:
9/660231
Inventors:
Lam H. Tran - Westminster CA
International Classification:
B42D 300
US Classification:
281 29
Abstract:
A double album of photograph display includes two mirror image portions located on opposite sides of a central web. Each mirror image portion is formed with a stiff, rectangular outer cover panel, an intermediate end panel, and a stiff inner cover panel. A packet of photograph mounting sheets is secured to the inside surface of the end panel of each mirror image portion of the base structure. Each of the photograph mounting sheets is capable of mounting at least one photograph. Preferably, pockets are provided in each photograph mounting sheet to accommodate a plurality of photographs in each mounting sheet. Photograph viewing windows are formed through the inner cover panels. Mutually engageable fasteners on each side of the central web may be provided to hold each packet within the confines of its associated outer and inner cover panel and the end panel to which the packet is secured. The album may be used as a freestanding structure whereby photographs in the viewing windows of the inner cover panels are displayed much in the manner of a freestanding frame for a plurality of photographs. When the fasteners are disengaged, the photograph mounting pages within both packets are accessible for viewing concurrently.
