Electronic Marketplace Providing Service Parts Inventory Planning And Management

US Patent:
7881985, Feb 1, 2011
Filed:
Feb 22, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/791481
Inventors:
Hong M. Yang - Coppell TX, US
Rajeev V. Pany - Coppell TX, US
Prabhu Natarajan - Irving TX, US
Abhijit A. Bhide - Irving TX, US
Assignee:
i2 Technologies US, Inc. - Dallas TX
International Classification:
G06Q 40/00
US Classification:
705 28
Abstract:
Service parts inventory planning and management are provided for one or more entities in a supply chain (), preferably within the context of an electronic marketplace (). Status data reflecting substantially current service parts inventory levels at stocking locations within the supply chain () is accessed, these inventory levels indicating service parts excesses or needs at one or more stocking locations. A substantially current service parts inventory plan is generated according to the status data, a service parts demand forecast, and a supply chain model, the inventory plan including target stocking levels for service parts at stocking locations. According to the inventory plan, one or more services are initiated to attempt to resolve service parts excesses or needs at stocking locations through interaction with one or more other entities.

High Availability Planning And Scheduling Architecture

US Patent:
2002015, Oct 17, 2002
Filed:
Apr 13, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/835003
Inventors:
Subhasis Ojha - Mississauga, CA
Rickey Tom - Burlington, CA
Abhijit Bhide - Irving TX, US
Arvindh Murugan - Irving TX, US
Assignee:
i2 Technologies, Inc.
International Classification:
G06F017/60
US Classification:
705/007000, 705/008000
Abstract:
A high availability planning and scheduling system includes a number of high availability (HA) systems () that are coupled to one or more external systems () using a message bus (). Each HA system () includes an HA server () that receives and queues requests received from the external systems (). Each HA system () also includes an advanced planning and scheduling (APS) engine () that receives a request from the HA server () and processes the request using planning information stored in memory of the HA system (). Furthermore, the APS engine () also modifies the planning information according to the processing of the request and generates a response to the external system () from which the request originated. The high availability planning and scheduling system further includes a message manager () that directs each request received from the external systems () to an appropriate HA system () using the message bus ().

Synchronization Of Planning Information In A High Availability Planning And Scheduling Architecture

US Patent:
2002015, Oct 17, 2002
Filed:
Apr 13, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/834836
Inventors:
Subhasis Ojha - Mississauga, CA
Rickey Tom - Burlington, CA
Abhijit Bhide - Irving TX, US
Arvindh Murugan - Irving TX, US
International Classification:
G06F017/60
US Classification:
705/008000, 700/099000
Abstract:
A method for synchronizing planning information in a high availability planning and scheduling architecture includes processing requests from one or more external systems () using an advanced planning and scheduling (APS) engine () included in a first primary high availability (HA) system (). The processing of requests includes modifying planning information stored in memory of the first primary HA system () according to the requests. The method also includes storing change information reflecting the modifications to the planning information in a database () and extracting the change information from the database () at an extraction time. Furthermore, the method includes updating the planning information using the extracted change information and storing the updated planning information in memory of a second primary HA system (′). In addition, the method includes identifying requests that were processed by the first primary HA system () after the extraction time and updating the planning information stored in memory of the second primary HA system (′) to account for these requests. The method also includes replacing the first primary HA system () with the second primary HA system (′).

Automated Test Management System And Method

US Patent:
2009030, Dec 10, 2009
Filed:
Jun 5, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/134099
Inventors:
Eric Rawlins - Collegeville PA, US
Abhijit Bhide - North Wales PA, US
Assignee:
FIBERLINK COMMUNICATIONS CORPORATION - Blue Bell PA
International Classification:
G06F 11/07
G06F 9/445
G06F 15/177
G06F 7/06
G06F 15/16
H04L 9/32
G06F 17/30
US Classification:
726 5, 714 37, 717176, 709221, 717178, 707 4, 709201, 709202, 714E11002, 707E17016, 707E17044
Abstract:
A test management application on a test management server includes a user interface on a Web-based portal by which a user can define one or more tests, selecting any desired configuration of operating system, connection type, and/or application, which are then saved in a test management database in the central server. Multiple tests involving the same configuration can be defined and saved for later selection, either individually or as a group of tests. A client agent engine on a test device can query the test management server for tests that can be conducted using the device's current configuration. If no such tests are found, the device can then query the test management server for the next available test. Upon allocation of the next available test to the device, the necessary system configuration for that test can be automatically retrieved, installed, and verified by the device. The device under test is automatically rebuilt to have the proper configuration for the test to be run.
