Abstract:
Disclosed is a polymer gel electrolyte system for use in an electrochemical cell, the system that includes a support structure comprising an aromatic polyether polymer film; and an electrolyte comprising an alkali metal salt in an organic solvent impregnated within said support structure. Advantageously, the system has an electrical conductivity from about 10 to about 10 cm at about -30Â C. to room temperature.
