A syringe, for injecting anesthetic contained in a medicine vial. The syringe includes a housing having a needle end and a plunger end, connected by a body; to which housing is attached a plunger assembly having a plunger at the plunger end. There is a vial slot in the housing, cooperatively sized for receiving a medicine vial. A needle assembly slot is in the body, at the needle end, for receiving a needle assembly from a side of the body. A seat at the needle end of the housing receives and locates a corresponding seat portion of the needle assembly within the housing. Depressing the plunger housingward impales the vial onto a penetrator of the needle assembly and seats the assembly firmly.

An apparatus and method for the control and prevention of bruxing (nocturnal teeth grinding) which comprises a sound generating means affixed to one area of the face of the user, a sound receiving means affixed to another area of the face, and an electronic control means to "read" signals from said sound receiver and to activate an alarm when bruxing occurs. Said apparatus utilizes the principle of bone conduction whereby the sonic vibrations from said second generator are transmitted to said sound receiver bottom when the jaw of the user is closed than when it is open. The alarm develops a conditioned reflex in the user such that after the first few alarms incident to bruxing the user does not awaken but merely reacts by relaxing the jaw when the alarm occurs.

A resonant radiation assembly for RF transmission lines is provided wherein the coupling level between the assembly and the transmission line may be readily adjusted at any point along the longitudinal axis of the line. The outer conductor of a coaxial transmission line is partially milled to provide radiation slots along the line, and the conductor is sheathed in a polyethylene cable jacket. A section of dielectric tubing is longitudinally gapped. Either plural conductive strips in combination with a transversely oriented radiation loop, or a single conductive strip is bonded to the outer surface of the tubing opposite the gap. The tubing is placed over the jacket and translated along the line to the desired operating location. The RF coupling level may be adjusted by rotating the tubing about the transmission line to vary the degree of coincidence between the conductive strip and the radiation slots. When the single conductive strip is used, a spatial energy pattern is provided which is primarily polarized along the longitudinal axis of the transmission line.
