Keyed Window Assembly For Garage Doors

US Patent:
2003000, Jan 2, 2003
Filed:
Aug 5, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/212181
Inventors:
Allen Berger - Hialeah Gardens FL, US
International Classification:
E06B003/00
US Classification:
052/208000
Abstract:
A window assembly for garage doors with hingedly mounted panels. The assembly includes resilient male and female frame members that are brought towards each other to sandwich the borders of the door panel defining the window opening and the cooperatively dimensioned transparent panel. The male frame member includes, adjacent to its peripheral inner end, a peripherally extending leg member that is lockingly received within a cooperative channel notch on the transparent panel. The engagement of the leg member to the channel member permits certain deformation to be transmitter to the resilient male and female frame members. Fastening members are used to keep the male and female frame members securely against each other.

Window Frame For An Opening Closure With Internal Channel

US Patent:
2004001, Jan 29, 2004
Filed:
Oct 22, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/277210
Inventors:
Allen Berger - Hialeah Gardens FL, US
International Classification:
E06B001/04
US Classification:
052/204530, 052/204100
Abstract:
A window frame for an opening closure having an outer and an inner frame assembly that sandwich a transparent member and a skin or panel with an opening. The outer and inner frame assemblies include each two vertical frame members are kept at a spaced apart and parallel relationship with respect to each other and two horizontal perpendicularly mounted to the vertical frame members. The outer frame members include longitudinal internal channels with a T-shape cross-section defining a wider innermost portion cavity and a narrower neck portion. The innermost portion slidably receives nuts that cooperate with a fastening member to securely mount the outer frame members, transparent member, panel and inner frame members, with fastening members therethrough. None of the hardware is visible from outside the closure.

Surface Mount Window For Doors

US Patent:
2004001, Jan 29, 2004
Filed:
Sep 17, 2002
Appl. No.:
10/244842
Inventors:
Allen Berger - Hialeah Gardens FL, US
International Classification:
E06B003/00
US Classification:
052/208000
Abstract:
A window assembly for garage doors having an opening with cooperative dimensions to receive a transparent panel with a reduced surface on one side and a peripheral flange making the outer surface larger than the internal surface. The underside of the peripheral flange member comes in abutting contact with the panel's external surface to which it is glued. An external frame member is mounted over the peripheral edge of the external side of the transparent panel. An internal frame member is mounted over the peripheral edge of internal surface. Fastening members are used to keep the transparent panel member in place.

Garage Doors Reinforcement System

US Patent:
2005025, Nov 24, 2005
Filed:
Apr 12, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/822079
Inventors:
Allen Berger - Hialeah Gardens FL, US
International Classification:
E06B003/48
US Classification:
160229100
Abstract:
An improvement for reinforced garage doors that includes using horizontally disposed reinforcement runner members with a longitudinal complementary shape that conform to the longitudinal complementary joints of the panel ends, such as the tongue and groove type or the shiplap type, or equivalent. The reinforcement runner members are made with roll forming processes by creating several longitudinal folds. The reinforcement runner members extends, uninterrupted, the entire width of the panels and enhance the articulation of the panels.

Garage Door Reinforcement And Method

US Patent:
6062293, May 16, 2000
Filed:
Jul 23, 1999
Appl. No.:
9/360177
Inventors:
Allen Berger - Hialeah Gardens FL
International Classification:
E06B 348
US Classification:
1602291
Abstract:
Reinforcements for the horizontal lateral edges of a garage door panel, which have been reverse folded to a J-shaped section, provide a neat channel for nesting a reinforced bar, such as an extrusion. One such extrusion, being C-shaped in cross-section, provides space for the off-setting adjoining female member of the lateral edge. At the other longitudinal side, a rectangular channel or extrusion can be similarly nestled into the J-shaped cross-section. The vertical ends and the vertical reinforcing truss provided at various stations have a similar C-shaped recess, and an extruded channel positioned in the same recess will cause every single panel of the door to have a plurality of reinforcing frames at every location where intercepting members appear. Desirably, the reinforcing members are secured in place of cementaceous material to thereby avoid the unsightly appearance of a pop rivet or other fastener.
