Abstract:
A hydraulic jack comprising a hydraulically actuated saddle movable from a first lowered position to a second raised position, the jack having a handle which, when pumped up and down, hydraulically raises the saddle, lowering control means associated with the jack for preventing premature lowering of the saddle upon malfunction of the hydraulic actuation during raising of the saddle and a release lever engaging the lowering control means adapted to release the same and permit lowering of the saddle when the handle is pumped up and down.

A jack stand for supporting a vehicle in a lifted position to allow work on the vehicle. The jack stand has a supporting base, an upstanding hollow socket and a post reciprocal within the socket. Abstract:
A jack stand and method for forming the same wherein the jack stand includes a base having at least 3 elongated support legs formed from a cylindrical metallic tube. The legs are braced and have support feet at bottom and terminate at top in a hollow cylindrical collar having a throughbore. A solid post, with a saddle at top, reciprocates within the collar. The post has a plurality of horizontally extending throughbores and a locking pin is extended through the throughbore in the collar and into one of the horizontally extending throughbores in the post locking the post in various positions.

Abstract:
A jack for lifting a small wheeled utility vehicle such as a lawn mower. The jack includes spaced bars having a lever actuated jacking mechanism therebetween. A base cross bar is carried by the jacking mechanism up and down the same and has spaced cradles for receiving the wheels of the utility vehicle therein. The spacings between the cradles and within the cradles are adjustable for adapting to the wheels of the vehicle. The jack also includes a base bar extending away from the bars for stabilizing the same and movable to a stored position.
