Ferromagnetic Frame With Laminated Carbon Steel

US Patent:
6879157, Apr 12, 2005
Filed:
Aug 25, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/925402
Inventors:
Luciano B. Bonanni - Dix Hills NY, US
Anthony Tenore - Yonkers NY, US
Assignee:
Fonar Corporation - Melville NY
International Classification:
G01V003/00
US Classification:
324309, 324318
Abstract:
A ferromagnetic frame for supporting a magnet in a magnetic resonance device used for magnetic resonance studies and a method for making the ferromagnetic frame are disclosed. The ferromagnetic frame includes at least one structural element formed of laminated steel layers. The steel layers are relatively lightweight and easily maneuverable compared to solid steel. The method includes laminating the steel layers together to form each of the components of the ferromagnetic frame and then assembling the frame. The ferromagnetic frame of the invention may be incorporated into a full-room magnetic resonance device, in which case the upper support is the ceiling of the room, the lower support is the floor, and the flux return members are the walls. The invention may be incorporated into pre-existing buildings dues to the maneuverability of the layers.

Heated Airlock Feeder Unit

US Patent:
2018001, Jan 11, 2018
Filed:
Jul 8, 2016
Appl. No.:
15/062319
Inventors:
- Yonkers NY, US
Anthony F. Tenore - Yonkers NY, US
Nicholas Canosa - Mamaroneck NY, US
International Classification:
C10B 31/08
C10B 53/07
C10B 23/00
Abstract:
A Heated Airlock Feeder is disclosed. The Heated Airlock Feeder allows for the continuous feeding of solid, shredded plastic into a reactor tube surrounded by clamshell burner boxes. Inside of the reactor tube, two augers, one with right hand flights and one with left hand flights are welded to smooth augers to create two continuous augers that push solid plastic material, liquid plastic material and molten plastic material through two small holes. As the plastic is in its molten state while being forced through the two small holes, an airlock is formed preventing air form entering the system. As the solid, shredded plastic is fed into the system, an airlock is formed allowing for the continuous feeding of the system. The clamshell burner boxes allow for convection and radiant heat allowing for even, continuous heat.
