I was born in the Hudson Valley, raised on a farm, I spent time traveling,living in cities and a decade in San Francisco, but the rolling fields, acres of apple orchards and the Shawangunk mountains were always in my heart. I spent 25 years in manufacturing and designing home accessories and fabric collections. I ran my own facctory, took a degree at FIT and then became a free lance paper goods and textile designer at which time I bought and remodeled my first home in Woodstock. I married and went on to buy and remodel several more homes with my husband. it seemed another career in real estate could lead to interesting work and a deeper understanding of my county and my community than was possible when working alone in my studio. To serve our clients well we have to keep informed about so many issues. People visit Ulster County, fall in love and consider buying. But they look to us for information on so much, whether it's taxes, local volunteer services, fracking and other quality of life issues. One of my personal concerns is the question of how we will bring back jobs to our county to keep the economy vital. I find it energizing to always be meeting new people through the buying/selling process. The job and the people are always changing and always interesting, what could be better?

I grew up on a farm in the Hudson valley, and couldn™t wait to leave for S.F when I finished college. I spent a decade in the Bay area where I began a craft business in textile sewing and painting. As the domestic craft movement was growing in popularity, I moved back to the Hudson Valley to expand that business and opened a factory in Kingston where over a dozen employees cut, sewed, painted, stuffed, inventoried and shipped my original designs of pillows, dolls and home decorations to 700 client shops and galleries around the U.S. After selling my share of the business to a partner, I began a second business as a textile and surface designer. I™ve licensed designs to major manufacturers of bedding, home goods, gift wrap and ceramics. I still love to paint but after years of quiet studio time , I began to yearn for more outside contact during my days. My husband and I had bought and renovated several homes and I™ve always been interested in real estate and architecture so the segue to real estate sales felt natural to me. I am very familiar with Ulster and Orange county and I™ve enjoyed the challenge of working with people and trying to make the perfect fit for buyer and seller.
