Merit Citation: Facade Exploration
Leading Edge Student Design Competition
I worked in a group with Kate Lengacher and Xiorelis Ferrer for a Zero Net Energy design competition during our first year of grad school at Ball State. Working through different ideas and skills, we were able to produce this project in 10 weeks (fully calculated to be zero net energy) and were awarded a Merit Citation for our innovative facade screen that served to cool air entering the building; reduce direct solar gain; and produce energy with pv panels.

Throughout my undergraduate career, CAP offered three different year wide competitions (ICMA, Gresham Smith, and Cripe). Each year I was very happy to be chosen as a finalist (generally in the top 16 of the class).
