As a Mortgage Broker, we have the ability to shop your loan need to many lenders for the best deal out there. As a company we will always find you the best deal at the best rate and terms available out there. We don't sneak anything in on you at closing that you didn't know about. We'll provide all figures ahead of time (in writing) so you know what you're getting well ahead of time! The dirty little secret amongst loan brokers is we all use the same group of lenders [we've even lost a few in the recent round of bank collapses]. But the difference in brokers comes down to a few things; 1. Experience in doing the right thing 2. Volume placed with certain lenders to get their best rates 3. …and a little thing called dedication to HELPING PEOPLE! Why on earth would you refinance with a company that didn’t care about your well being and put you into their sub-prime loan years ago? (Did you know the FHA "miracle" loan not touted as perfect for almost everyone, has been available all this time as well? They just made more money and it was easier than FHA.) Now, these companies are scrambling to justify their actions of “helping people get affordable housing” by looking for a handout. All the while, the broker and company made their money at closing and laughed all the way to the bank and their HUGE commissions, selling them off to Wallstreet, and now the American taxpayer. To me, that is saddest part. I am proud of the fact that our company did very few sub-prime loans over the years, and always trys to do what’s best for the consumer. Yup, there are even loans we could have done.. but end up turning them down because the amount of cash they needed out, would cost them as much as to do the loan!
