A load center is upgraded by removing the existing load center and replacing it with a renovation load center. As the existing incoming and branch circuit wiring may not be sufficiently long enough to reach the proper terminations in the replacement load center, renovation terminal blocks are provided in the renovation load center adjacent the penetrations of the external wiring to which the incoming lines, and if necessary, the branch circuit wiring are connected. Cabling is then provided between the terminations on the renovation terminal blocks and the appropriate load center terminations. The renovation terminal block(s) can be housed in an auxiliary enclosure mounted adjacent to a main enclosure containing the load center interior or all of the components can be housed in a single renovation enclosure.

A circuit analyzer tests a power circuit including an earth leakage ground fault circuit interrupter, a receptacle, and a line, a neutral and a ground electrically connected between the circuit interrupter and the receptacle. The circuit analyzer includes a plurality of pushbuttons for inputting a plurality of test requests. A microprocessor outputs a plurality of test signals responsive to the test requests. A plurality of load circuits selectively provide a load between the line and the neutral responsive to one of the test signals. A display confirms tripping of the ground fault circuit interrupter responsive to the load, in order to determine if the neutral is electrically connected to the ground between the circuit interrupter and the receptacle.

A first compartment houses the separable contacts and includes a first cover. A second compartment is disposed adjacent the first compartment and includes a second cover. The electrical connector assembly includes a plate member disposed between the first and second compartments, and a plurality of electrical connectors coupled to the plate member and being substantially disposed within the second compartment. The electrical connectors are structured to be electrically connected to the separable contacts, and are substantially inaccessible when the second compartment is covered by the second cover.

An enclosed switching apparatus includes an enclosure and a primary power supply disconnect mounted in the enclosure. An auxiliary fusible element has seventh and eighth terminals, the seventh terminal is electrically connected to one of the sixth terminals of the transformer. An interlock assembly for a safety switch includes a linkage. A first end of the linkage is coupled to the operating handle of the safety switch in order that moving the operating handle results in a corresponding movement of the second end of the linkage into and out of an aperture in a bracket member. The bracket member is movably coupled to the safety switch enclosure by a fastening mechanism. When the cover of the safety switch is disposed in its open position, the bracket member is disposed in a first position preventing the second end of the linkage from entering the aperture and resisting undesired movement of the operating handle. When the cover is closed position, the bracket member is moved to a second position corresponding to the second end of the linkage being receivable by the aperture in order that the operating handle is movable.
