Abstract:
The invention provides a carrier for hot baking dishes and the like having two movable handles (16) and two fixed handles (12b). With the fixed handles (12b) the apparatus can be lifted and moves using two hands. The movable handles (16) are pivotally connected to the base members (10) thus allowing them to be moved to an upright, carrying position and a lowered, loading position. With movable handles (16) in the carrying position the apparatus can be carried using only one hand. In the lowered position the movable handles (16) are positioned to provide finger access to both the flanges of a dish sitting on the carrier and to the fixed handles of the carrier. Therefore, with movable handles (16) in the down position, dishes can be loaded onto and off of the apparatus. Also, food can be added to or removed from the dish thereon.

Abstract:
The invention is a dish transport apparatus with dual positionable handles. The invention comprises at least one movable handle having a pair of handle arms in pivotal connection with pivot pins located on the sides of a base member. The handles are connected to the base by means of slots in each arm thus allowing the gripping portion of the handle to be placed at a lowered, "loading" position in channels located at the front and/or the rear of each base member. From this position, the dish may be placed on the base. The handle is then pivoted upward and locked into a second upward position for transport. The handles may be pivoted against a spring biasing member to lock them into place in the loading position.

The invention is an improved rigid awning structure which permits some regulation of pass-through light and which may be constructed attached to a building or free standing. The invention provides slated louver sets arranged one above the other in banks of at least two sets. At least one of the louver sets in each bank is slidably movable to achieve the regulation of pass through-light. The invention may be constructed utilizing many conventional frame building methods and materials.
