Storage Case For Dvds And Compact Discs

US Patent:
6454091, Sep 24, 2002
Filed:
Jul 24, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/912138
Inventors:
Christopher S. Mendoza - Margate FL, 33063
Carlos Robaina - Coconut Creek FL, 33073
International Classification:
B65D 8557
US Classification:
2063081, 206310, 206493
Abstract:
A storage case for protectively containing media discs, such as DVDs and CDs, provides a disc holder for releasably holding the media discs in the interior of the case between top and bottom hinged cover members. The disc holder includes a centrally disposed disc retainer having flexible fingers with barbed distal ends for engaging the upper surface of the media disc proximate a central opening thereof. Arm members extend between the fingers and a pair of diametrically opposed tabs, wherein application of a radially inward directed force to the tabs, using the thumb and one other finger of the same hand, serves to urge the fingers to a compressed position so that the barbed distal ends are freed from the disc. Sloped shoulders at the juncture of the arm members and the respective pair of tabs urge the disc upwardly and into the grasp of the users thumb and other finger, upon application of the radially inward directed force to the tabs, thereby releasing the disc from the holder and directly into the grasp of the user with the use of just two fingers of one hand.

Method And Apparatus For Managing Feature Based User Input Routing In A Multi-Processor Architecture

US Patent:
2021012, Apr 29, 2021
Filed:
Oct 23, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/661880
Inventors:
- Chicago IL, US
CARLOS J ROBAINA - MIRAMAR FL, US
MARK ANTILLA - DAVIE FL, US
International Classification:
G06F 15/82
G06F 3/02
G06F 3/16
G06F 9/54
Abstract:
Improved management of user based input to a converged portable communication device is provided. A primary processor is configured to detect a user input feature request in response to a user interface control being activated. The primary processor determines whether the user input feature request is one of: a primary processor-centric request or a secondary processor-centric request. The primary processor retains primary requests and routes secondary requests to a secondary processor. If the secondary processor is unable to perform the requested feature, a check is made whether the primary processor is available and can fulfill the request as a secondary request. Positive user feedback is generated in response to determine that requests can be handled, and negative user feedback is generated when a requested feature cannot be handled.
