It's a long story but a fun one to tell. I went into the real estate brokerage business in 1974 to supplement the family income. It led to an incredible journey into the world of big business. Forming several real estate companies starting in the La Canada Flintridge, La Crescenta Valley in the mid 70's with Many Mansion Realty, Inc., and later to the Antelope Valley with Ana Verde Realty, Inc. Later still, the high desert above Palm Springs in Southern California with Cherie Miller & Associates and Joshua Tree Realty. Along the way, a property management company Affordable Rentals in Yucca Valley and a broker owned escrow company, C.M.A. Escrow Services, and a mortgage company Affordable Financial Services, Inc. It was an exciting time for the entire family. My law degree from 1982 never got to see any use as I was too busy setting up businesses and going in my own direction. Becoming an author in 2013 and writing about my experiences in life saw five books published through www.amazon.com. "Out of the Bottoms" details my personal experiences as a young wife, mother and business woman who battles discrimination, poverty and lack of education to achieve the American dream. My book "So, You Want to be a Real Estate Agent" has been a fabulous hit for me and outselling everything else I've written.
