Abstract:

This invention relates to a method for transducing extremely primitive hematopoietic stem cells with high efficiency, using an adeno-associated vector. This vector stably transforms highly primitive CD34CD38 cells which reside in a quiescent state and retain to a larger extent the ability to repopulate the hematopoietic system.
