The method has steps including initializing queries related to the subject and a set of data sources utilizing subject information and one or more data source names, extracting the discussions from the set of data sources by employing the queries, extracting significant discussions from the extracted discussions by applying discussions quality methods, identifying websites corresponding to the significant discussions; extracting significant websites by applying websites quality methods to the identified websites, determining a website influence of each of the significant websites by determining their corresponding attributes, identifying a discussion influence of each of the significant discussions based on the website influence of each of the corresponding significant websites, and weighting the significant discussions and the significant websites utilizing the discussion influence and the website influence of each of the significant discussions and the significant websites, respectively.

System And Method For Intent Mining

US Patent:
2011014, Jun 16, 2011
Filed:
Dec 15, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/638254
Inventors:
Steven Matt Gustafson - Niskayuna NY, US

Assignee:
GENERAL ELECTRIC COMPANY - SCHENECTADY NY
International Classification:
G06F 17/30
US Classification:
707776, 707E17015
Abstract:
A method for intent mining is provided. The method includes performing a preliminary search of a constrained source using one or more seed phrases to generate multiple preliminary search results representing different ways of expressing a desired intent. The method also includes identifying each of the plurality of preliminary search results that have expressed the desired intent to generate a plurality of intent results. The method also includes producing multiple action search strings around one or more action verbs in each of the multiple intent results. The method further includes applying each of the multiple action search strings on one or more non-constrained sources to generate multiple action search results.

Perception Analysis

US Patent:
2019031, Oct 10, 2019
Filed:
Dec 31, 2018
Appl. No.:
16/236998
Inventors:
David Brian Bracewell - Richardson TX, US
International Classification:
G06Q 30/02
Abstract:
Computer-implemented consumer analytics logic accesses, in computer memory, data comprising user-authored text and includes sentic computing logic to identify, in the data, one or more lexical items in the text and determine a meaning for at least a subset of the one or more lexical items, where corresponding lexical units define the meaning determined for each of the subsets of lexical items. A determination is made by the consumer analytics logic as to whether each lexical unit maps to one or more factors in a set of factors of a model, the set of factors defined to include an attitudinal factor, a sociocultural factor, a personal factor, and a behavioral factor. A consumer sentiment is determined to be expressed in the text based on the model and the analysis.

Occasion-Based Consumer Analytics

US Patent:
2016026, Sep 8, 2016
Filed:
Mar 4, 2016
Appl. No.:
15/061701
Inventors:
David Brian Bracewell - Richardson TX, US
International Classification:
G06Q 30/02
G06Q 50/00
G06N 99/00
G06F 17/30
Abstract:
A corpus of text data is accessed that includes a plurality of sentences and each of these sentences is parsed to determine, for each word, a corresponding meaning. A particular one of the sentences is determined to correspond to a particular occasion based on the determined meanings of one or more words of the particular sentence and is further determined to reference a product or service. A relationship is determined between the product or service and the particular occasion based on the particular sentence. One or more words of the particular sentence are determined to indicate a psychological characteristic of an author of the particular sentence. Consumer analytics data is generated to at least identify the relationship between the product or service and the particular occasion.
