Method For Production Of Fluoroscopic And Radiographic X-Ray Images And Hand Held Diagnostic Apparatus Incorporating The Same

US Patent:
4979198, Dec 18, 1990
Filed:
Jul 3, 1989
Appl. No.:
7/375124
Inventors:
David H. Malcolm - Randolph NJ
George P. T. Wilenius - Dunrobin, Ontario, CA
International Classification:
H05G 110
US Classification:
378102
Abstract:
Method and apparatus for the production of fluoroscopic and radiographic x-ray images utilizing a portable hand-held and battery operated x-ray system. The system incorporates a unique high voltage power supply of diminutive size and weight which may be disposed totally within the hand-held system. By utilizing the system in conjunction with a currently available hand operated instant Polaroid film developer, the system provides total portability and field operability in both fluoroscopic and radiographic mode.

Method Of Electrostatically Enhancing Deposition Of Air Borne Spray Materials

US Patent:
4328940, May 11, 1982
Filed:
Aug 9, 1978
Appl. No.:
5/932317
Inventors:
David H. Malcolm - West Paterson NJ
Assignee:
Electrogasdynamics, Inc. - East Hanover NJ
International Classification:
B64D 118
US Classification:
244136
Abstract:
A method of spraying electrically charged particulate material to ground from a low flying airplane. The method includes the steps of imposing an electrical charge of given polarity upon an emitted primary spray of particulate material of sufficient magnitude to electrostatically enhance the deposition thereof and concurrently emitting a secondary spray of oppositely charged particulate material of selective character from said airborne source at a charge level of a magnitude to avoid material degradation of the charge on said primary spray intermediate its loci of emission and deposition.

Current Limited Electrostatic Spray Gun System With Positive Feedback Controlled Constant Voltage Output

US Patent:
4508276, Apr 2, 1985
Filed:
Sep 29, 1982
Appl. No.:
6/428024
Inventors:
David H. Malcolm - Randolph NJ
Assignee:
Titan Tool Inc. - Oakland NJ
International Classification:
B05B 500
H02H 300
US Classification:
239691
Abstract:
Electrostatic spray coating system wherein the output voltage is maintained constant over the working range of the system and wherein the power is automatically interrupted whenever the load current exceeds a predetermined amount, as for example, about 120 microamperes.

Spray Gun Having Self-Contained Low Voltage And High Voltage Power Supplies

US Patent:
4290091, Sep 15, 1981
Filed:
Jun 11, 1979
Appl. No.:
6/047372
Inventors:
David H. Malcolm - Randolph NJ
Assignee:
Speeflo Manufacturing Corporation - Houston TX
International Classification:
B05B 502
US Classification:
361228
Abstract:
An electrostatic spray gun apparatus for coating systems having an entirely self-contained light weight electrical power supply adapted to convert the kinetic energy available in a moving air stream into the required high d. c. potential and which dispenses with external electrical supply connections thereto.

Energy Conversion Unit For Electrostatic Spray Coating Apparatus And The Like

US Patent:
4219865, Aug 26, 1980
Filed:
Sep 5, 1978
Appl. No.:
5/939171
Inventors:
David H. Malcolm - Randolph NJ
Assignee:
Speeflo Manufacturing Corporation - Houston TX
International Classification:
B05B 502
US Classification:
361228
Abstract:
An improved energy converting and electric power generating system for electrostatic spray apparatus for coating systems adapted to convert the kinetic energy available in a moving air stream into electrical power.

Method And Apparatus For Dielectrophoretically Enhanced Particle Collection

US Patent:
4541844, Sep 17, 1985
Filed:
Apr 30, 1984
Appl. No.:
6/605399
Inventors:
David H. Malcolm - Randolph NJ
International Classification:
B03C 316
US Classification:
55 10
Abstract:
Method and apparatus for the removal of particulate matter, fumes, mists and noxious gases from a gas stream utilizing selectively sized and electrically charged water droplets, preferably between 30 and 60 microns, that exhibit significantly enhanced affinity for smaller uncharged particles through dielectrophoretic attraction, said droplets being present in such relatively low concentration that performance is not limited by space charge. The charged droplets are caused to move relative to the gas stream by inertial or electrostatic means, or both, at such a velocity and path as to maximize encounters between charged droplets and the particles to be collected.

Apparatus For Dielectrophoretically Enhanced Particle Collection

4619670, Oct 28, 1986
Filed:
Sep 16, 1985
Appl. No.:
6/776760
Inventors:
David H. Malcolm - Randolph NJ
George P. T. Wilenius - Dunrobin, Ontario, CA
International Classification:
B03C 316
US Classification:
55107
