Integrated Drive Motor Power Interface

US Patent:
2013011, May 16, 2013
Filed:
Oct 26, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/661566
Inventors:
Mark Alan Gries - Wauwatosa WI, US
Zoran Vrankovic - Greenfield WI, US
David Dean Van Dorpe - Burnsville MN, US
Assignee:
ROCKWELL AUTOMATION TECHNOLOGIES, INC. - Mayfield Heights OH
International Classification:
H02P 29/00
H02K 11/00
H02H 7/08
US Classification:
318490, 318494, 361 31
Abstract:
An integrated drive motor (IDM) power distribution architecture utilizes an IDM power interface module (IPIM) to create a control voltage that is distributed to all the IDMs in a network. This power distribution may be accomplished along a hybrid cable, for example, that includes both signal conductors and power conductors. The IPIM is capable of detecting short circuits and/or overload conditions and disabling the power supply to the IDMs. Additionally, a second power supply may be utilized in the IPIM such that when the power supply to the IDMs is deactivated, the IPIM may remain functional, for example, to report one or more fault conditions to the user. Additionally, this reporting of fault status may be accomplished via a user display integrated with or coupled to the IPIM.

Abstract:
A versatile user-adjustable clamp for clamping accessories to the panels of ready-to-assemble furniture articles, and other surfaces such as countertops, has a main body member, a jaw member, and a knob. The main body member has a substantially spool-shaped section with accessory interface means at opposing ends thereof, and a rectangular section that projects tangentially from the spool-shaped section. The spool-shaped section of the main body member telescopingly receives the jaw member, and has a knob-receiving aperture. The knob is rotatably secured within the knob aperture and provides a means for actuating the telescopic movement of the jaw member relative to the main clamp body. The jaw member includes a flat surface interface that is oriented parallel to the rectangular section of the main clamp body, and has a separate accessory interface means therein. This separate accessory interface means can include a snap-lock feature, allowing users to confirm that the clamp is securely fastened to an associated accessory.

A relatively low pressure hydraulic system actuates the compactor blade and a release valve limits the maximum pressure to which the system is subjected.

Microlubrication Control

US Patent:
4467892, Aug 28, 1984
Filed:
May 8, 1981
Appl. No.:
6/261847
Inventors:
David L. Van de Bogert - Walworth WI
International Classification:
F16N 2902
G08B 2100
US Classification:
184 74
Abstract:
Microlubrication system to divide and distribute a flow of lubricant automatically to one or more machines needing lubrication. Fail-safe, accurate distribution is provided by diverting flow of lubricant from the distribution system most of the time, allowing lubricant to be distributed only at intervals. When the lubricant is being distributed, it flows at a high enough rate to allow accurate metering and division of flow, but the overall delivery rate is low enough to prevent wasting the lubricant. The system is preferably provided with fail-safe means to ensure lubrication or to shut off the machines to be lubricated in the event lubrication fails and cannot be quickly restored.
