ACA is the professional association for those working in corrections. It is also the standards and accreditation organization for correctional facilities. ACA annually recognizes corrections professionals who exemplify excellence and innovation. 2012 is the first year ACA honored a team of individuals - the Institutional Library Development team at the Colorado State Library.

Library Community Partnership Award
Colorado Association of Libraries
Jointly awarded to the State Library's Institutional Library Development unit, the Colorado Department of Corrections Business Technologies unit, and Electronic Online Systems Inc., the Library Community Partnership award recognized their joint efforts to implement the nation's first secure, remotely-host Integrated Library System in a state prison system.
This award recognizes achievements in planning and implementing collaborative library programs or services between Colorado libraries, or between a Colorado library and a businesses, organization, group or individual. The award emphasizes the innovative nature of the collaboration, sound fiscal management, and the impact of the effort.
