Portable Ekg Monitoring Device For St Deviation

US Patent:
4546776, Oct 15, 1985
Filed:
Sep 13, 1984
Appl. No.:
6/650108
Inventors:
Howard T. Bellin - New York NY
Donald Fellner - New York NY
Nichan Tchorbajian - Elmhurst NY
International Classification:
A61B 504
US Classification:
128704
Abstract:
A portable cardiac monitor analyzes the PQ and ST portions of an electrocardiogram waveform and establishes a "normal" or standard ST ratio deviation of the difference between the ST and PQ levels. When a subsequently measured ST ratio deviation exceeds the previously stored normal value, an alarm is indicated indicating a possible ischemic condition. The pulse rate may also be monitored to provide an alarm whenever the pulse rate rises above or falls below a predetermined value.

Method Of Removing Adipose Tissue From The Body

US Patent:
5143063, Sep 1, 1992
Filed:
Feb 9, 1988
Appl. No.:
7/153963
Inventors:
Donald G. Fellner - New York NY
International Classification:
A61F 700
US Classification:
128399
Abstract:
Electromedical apparatus is employed to non-invasively remove adipose tissue from the body by causing necrosis thereof by localizing (e. g. , focusing) radiant energy. The radiant energy may be of any suitable kind, for example, localized radio frequency, microwave or ultrasound energy, which is impinged upon the cells to be eliminated. Cell destruction occurs through a mechanism such as, e. g. , heating or mechanical disruption beyond a level which the adipose tissue can survive.
