Adjustable Self Supporting Locker Shelf And Method For Installing Same

US Patent:
5137160, Aug 11, 1992
Filed:
Oct 1, 1990
Appl. No.:
7/593312
Inventors:
Donald G. Santucci - Naperville IL
International Classification:
A47F 700
US Classification:
211153
Abstract:
An add-on shelf for athletic or school lockers having hinged first and second planar shelf members. The edge of the first shelf member is hingedly affixed along the length of the second shelf member, the precise hinge point being adjustable to accommodate differing width lockers. Tabs on the first shelf member engage slots on the second shelf member to form the hinge. A plurality of slots are provided along the second shelf member to facilitate the above-noted width adjustment. Releasable latch means lock the shelf members is fixed planar orientation. Rubber abutment feet are provided along the outside edges of the shelf members to engage the locker walls. The shelf is installed by forming an obtuse angle between the shelf members, placing the shelf assembly into the locker, then, forcing the angle open until the shelf members are in the 180 degree planar locked position.

Bridging Clip Cover

US Patent:
4430524, Feb 7, 1984
Filed:
Mar 22, 1982
Appl. No.:
6/360198
Inventors:

Abstract:
A plastic cover for bridging clips of the type commonly utilized on telephone and communications terminal blocks. The cover is dimensioned to closely conform to the contour of the associated clip and includes partial end walls and nibs which function to enhance retention of the clip. The cover may be field installed on an existing bridging clip without the removal of same, or pre-assembled with a clip prior to installation.

Unreel Reinforcer For Dispensing Wire

US Patent:
4009845, Mar 1, 1977
Filed:
Sep 24, 1975
Appl. No.:
5/616293
Inventors:
Kenneth E. Santucci - LaGrange IL
Donald G. Santucci - Wheaton IL
International Classification:
B65H 4900
US Classification:
2421297
Abstract:
A package reinforcement and support structure for use in dispensing a winding of flexible material such as wire, cable, rope and the like comprises a first tubular member, a second tubular member telescoped over the first tubular member, and co-operative interlocking elements on the tubular members. The interlocking elements include a pair of first slots formed in a diametrically opposed relationship on the body of the telescoping tubular member and a pair of tang members formed in diametrically opposed relationship on the body of the first tubular member. The tang members are engageable with elements of the first slots for establishing a separable mechanical connection of the first and second tubular members. The cooperative interlocking elements of the support structure also include container or box reinforcements.

Universal Horizontal And Vertical Siding Clip

US Patent:
5326055, Jul 5, 1994
Filed:
Jun 14, 1993
Appl. No.:
8/076401
Inventors:
Mark Page - Naperville IL
Donald Santucci - Naperville IL
Assignee:
DEK, Inc. - St. Charles IL
International Classification:
F16L 308
US Classification:
248 743
Abstract:
A universal plastic siding clip for attaching cables and wires to the outside of a building. The siding clip includes cooperating cable retention mechanisms for both horizontal cable spans and vertical cable drops thereby permitting the use of a single fastener for either or both types of cable runs. The retention mechanisms are spaced to avoid cable interference where both cable types are utilized and, further, to position horizontal cables closer to the wall surface thus making use of the intrinsic protection offered by overlapping siding planks while the vertical runs are spaced sufficiently outwardly from the wall surface to avoid interference with such overlapping planks. Cable recesses are provided to permit multiple and widely varying cable cross-sections and diameters in a single clip model. Further, the clip may be injection molded using simplified tooling without movable core members, side actions and similar apparatus that otherwise increases manufacturing costs.

Magazine File System

US Patent:
4909398, Mar 20, 1990
Filed:
May 28, 1988
Appl. No.:
7/198322
Inventors:
Donald G. Santucci - Naperville IL
International Classification:
A47F 700
US Classification:
211 50
Abstract:
A magazine or paper rack storage system including one or more interconnectable racks, the rack system being mountable in any of three independent orientations. Each rack comprises two side panels, a base panel and a back panel. One side panel has an opening therein which permits the viewing of items in the rack and the placement of items in the rack when such is oriented as a tray. The other side panel covers a larger area thereby serving as the bottom of the rack, again, when the rack is positioned as a tray. A rack interconnection arrangement includes a pair of spaced integral slots on the base panel in combination with interconnecting spline members. The slots include a ridge to provide a friction three-point engagement with the spline. The rack interconnection arrangement further includes a tab fitted into slots which slots are located generally within the side panels at positions spaced from the bottom panel.
