Douglas has been in the real estate industry for over 15 years, working in every facet of the business. After graduating from Quincy University with a degree in Finance in 2000 - just in time for the Tech bubble to burst and Wall Street jobs evaporating - Douglas started painting houses, hauling trash and mowing grass to support his Triathlon "habit". While racing Triathlon, including racing for Team USA in the amateur World Championships in 2002 & 2004 and completing the Ironman Triathlon in 2002, he realized the sport would not provide, well, any income. As a result, Douglas entered the corportate world as a loan auditor at Wells Fargo in 2002. It was within 6 months he realized his entrepreneurial spirit would not mesh well with large corporate structure, so then moved over to writing loans as a mortgage broker for a small local firm. Concurrently, he began working with partners building an investment portfolio which, at it's peak, contained 130 homes. Douglas was the full-time director of the investment portfolio; including the day-to-day management, repairs, leasing and financing of the portfolio. With that experience he opened his first brokerage to assist other investors in building, operating and financing portfolios. Upon reaching a client list of over 70 investors he parlayed the firm in the acquisition and merger with OneSource Realtors, giving him needed exposure to the retail real estate sector, poised to recover after the crash of 2007-2008. At OneSource Realtors, Douglas is the Team Lead of the REO (Real Estate Owned) sections of the business; servicing firms such as HUD, Home Telos, Matt Martin, HSBC, Nationstar, Green River Capital, Regions Bank and US Bank in the disposition of real estate assets. He also continues to oversee the investment arm of the business, OSP Management, in serving investors in their acquisition, construction, financing, leasing and management of real estate portfolios. In 2006, Douglas opened a small firm financing investors in the purchase acquisition and construction of investment properties. Today, he still consults with private lenders and finances real estate projects.
