Abstract:
A method for displaying content items to a user based on selected goals from the user includes performing an initial assessment of a user, which includes retrieving at least one of measured patient disease management data and user-inputted patient disease management data from a user database, requesting additional information from the user for determining one or more goals, and receiving the additional information from the user via a user interface. The method includes recommending a plurality of goals based on the initial assessment and stored protocols related to disease management retrieved from a content database, receiving a selection of a goal from the user, receiving goal tracking information indicative of progress toward the selected goal, selecting one or more content items from the content database based on at least one of the selected goal and the goal tracking information, and displaying the selected one or more content items.

A system for displaying disease management goals to a patient includes a user database comprising measured patient disease management data or user-derived patient disease management data, a content database comprising content items related to recommended lifestyle choices and protocols for disease management, and an interactive user interface. The system also includes a memory having instructions that when run on a processor will perform a method comprising determining a patient goal related to improving disease management based on the user information and the stored protocols for disease management and displaying the patient goal to the user on the interactive user interface, and selecting one or more content items from the content database based on at least the determined patient goal and the user information and displaying the selected one or more content items to the user on the interactive user interface.

Abstract:
Methods for operating an injection device that is mated to a mobile device are disclosed. Methods include sensing movements of the injection device and enabling inputs on the mobile device based on the movements of the injection device. Methods also include receiving desired injection parameter values into the mobile device, transmitting signals indicative of injection parameters from the mobile device to the injection device, activating injection of medicament with the injection device in accordance with the signals received from the mobile device, and obtaining data regarding the administered injection from the injection device.

Abstract:
A system for assisting patients in sorting and dispensing medication supplies comprises a storage tray having a number of storage compartments, and a communication system to identify a medication to be provided from a pill bottle and, based upon the identification and a known regime, automatically identify which compartments of the storage tray are to be filled with the identified medication from the pill bottle and perform the filling of the storage tray. In doing so, a patient can simply open and present any number of pill bottles to the system, and then allow the system to arrange the medication in the storage tray according to the known regimen. The regimen and regimen updates are communicated to the system by means of a wired or wireless transmission to the system from a remote location (e.g. pharmacy or doctor's office), by direct user input, or by reading such information from a barcode or similar information carrier affixed to the pill bottles.
