Electrically Conductive Poly(.Beta.-Diketone) And Process Therefor

US Patent:
4522746, Jun 11, 1985
Filed:
Feb 13, 1984
Appl. No.:
6/579406
Inventors:
Yoshiyuki Okamoto - Fort Lee NJ
Edward F. Hwang - Brooklyn NY
Assignee:
W. R. Grace & Co. - New York NY
International Classification:
H01B 100
US Classification:
252500
Abstract:
This invention relates to an electrically conductive p-doped poly(. beta. -diketone) and a process for forming same utilizing WCl. sub. 6 as the polymerization catalyst. Doping of the resulting polymer with iodine dopant in either solution or the vapor phase or with tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) or AsF. sub. 5 results in a conductive polymer having good stability in air.

Poly(Dipropargylamine)And Derivatives Thereof Per Se And _P-Doped And Processes For Preparing Same
