A system and method for configuration management and enforcement of software applications in a computer network. The system comprises of one or more server computers, a configuration rules database and a plurality of client computers. Each client computer has an agent running on it. The agent, after being invoked or on a periodic basis, contacts a server computer to obtain the latest configuration rules from the configuration rules database. The configuration rules are then used by the agent to check the validity of the software applications. The agent also sends log data, back to the server computer, containing details of the status of the computer, any violations, actions taken, time of violations, etc. The present invention also provides a method to check and ensure that the agent is required to be run on all the client computers in order for these computers to communicate with other computers in the network.

Methods and systems for protecting the computer network against unauthorized access are disclosed. Information is reported about each network device connected to the network and/or one or more corresponding users. The reported information is correlated to determine if any unauthorized devices are connected to the network. To report the desired information, each device authorized to use the network may be provided with an agent configured to report information about the device to which it corresponds and information about one or more neighboring devices. A “reporting your neighbor” method may be used wherein each network device report its address and the address of its neighbors may be used to determine if any device is not reporting its address. Alternatively, each agent may report information about its device's physical location, e. g. , by global positioning satellite (GPS).

In one example, a method involves receiving, by the UE and from the source node, a RACH-498 handover message comprising: (i) an uplink grant for establishing a connection with the target node, and (ii) an identifier of a reference signal associated with a beam of the target node. The method also involves performing, by the UE, a handover based on the RACH-less handover message.

A social networking system selects content items previously presented to a user for presentation to the user along with content items that were not previously presented. The social networking system selects candidate content items as previously-presented content items satisfying one or more criteria. One or more indices each associated with one or more attributes are generated that include candidate content items having attributes associated with an index. Candidate content items in an index are ranked based on a likelihood of the user interacting with the candidate content items in the index, and one or more candidate content items are selected from the index for presentation based on the ranking. The candidate content items selected from the index are presented to the user along with additional content items not previously-presented to the user.
