Hi! I'm Gary Heimbach. Born and raised in the great city of Chicago, I have spent my entire life in and around the Chicago area. After high school (Lake View), I attended Wright College and did a stint at Northwestern. After that, I tried my hand at computer programming but just didn't have the love of it as I do now. So I ventured into the world of beauty, and hung out in hair salons in the city and northwest suburbs for the next 24 years. I was, and still am a licensed hair designer. I had accomplished some specific goals that I had set for myself, which included being a consultant to United Airlines, a platform artist, teaching other hair dressers the tricks that I had learned (in front of as many as 300 designers), classroom teaching, and owning my own salon. After some (well, a lot) of soul searching, I realized I needed a change. It was then that I decided to get into real estate. Since 1993, I was fortunate to have achieved some success with Coldwell Banker. Within four years, I became the number 2 agent in my office, consistently within the top 5 in my company of over 300 agents, and within the top four percent of Coldwell Banker agents nationwide. In 2003, I realized that I had reached the ceiling of personal and financial growth with Coldwell Banker and decided to join Re/Max Horizon in Elgin IL. The Elgin area's number one office. Most recently, my wife, Terri and I decided that we wanted a lifestyle change. After searching countless areas in the east and southeast, we decided to check out the Mountain Home area in Arkansas. We immediately fell in love with the area, and especially the people. For a city born and bred boy, that was saying something. We bought a lot in Bull Shoals and built a home there. I achieved my Arkansas Broker license and decided to work with the top brokerage firm in the area, Gilbert Realty Co. We love to travel, dine in new places and we live in a great area in Bull Shoals and have three cats named Addison, Eliot, and Izzy along with our rescue puppy Madeline.
