Cam Lock Table Support Apparatus

US Patent:
5662298, Sep 2, 1997
Filed:
Nov 29, 1995
Appl. No.:
8/564780
Inventors:
Harold O. Collins - Scottsdale AZ
International Classification:
F16M 1120
US Classification:
2481881
Abstract:
Support apparatus includes a pair of folding leg elements pivotally secured to a longitudinal beam assembly. The beam assembly includes two beams longitudinally aligned with each other and secured by a U-shaped clamp. The leg elements are secured to the center, longitudinally extending beams by a pair of cam lock units, secured to the leg units. The cam lock units pivot and are lockable to the beam in both the open, support position and in the folded, storage position. The use of the two beam elements and the U-shaped channel connector allows the beam elements to twist relative to each other, and the twisting allows the leg elements to remain stable while disposed on an uneven surface.

Wall Mounted Table Apparatus

US Patent:
5513574, May 7, 1996
Filed:
Nov 4, 1994
Appl. No.:
8/334273
Inventors:
Harold O. Collins - Scottsdale AZ
International Classification:
A47B 3083
US Classification:
108 36
Abstract:
Folding table cabinet apparatus includes a base cabinet with a pair of folding doors secured to a base cabinet. Within the base cabinet is a table assembly. The table assembly is pivotally secured within the cabinet and is held therein by a pair of lock plates. The table assembly pivots outwardly from the cabinet and is supported by a pair of folding legs. The table includes two plates, a main table plate and an outer end extension or leaf plate which is pivotally secured to the main table plate. The extension or leaf plate is held in alignment with the main plate by a pair of slider elements which are pinned to the main table plate.

Ripening Controlling Chamber Apparatus

US Patent:
5377502, Jan 3, 1995
Filed:
Dec 29, 1993
Appl. No.:
8/174781
Inventors:
Harold O. Collins - Scottsdale AZ
James J. Hennessy - Phoenix AZ
Gilbert Mancillas - Phoenix AZ
International Classification:
F28D 500
US Classification:
62304
Abstract:
Ripening retardation chamber apparatus includes a plenum chamber having a generally open side against which is disposed a pallet full of boxes containing produce. The boxes include openings to allow cooled and moistened air to flow therethrough. An evaporative cooling system is used to provide a flow of cool, moist air into the plenum chamber. The air flow is such as to cause the cooled, moistened air to flow from the plenum chamber through the cartons or boxes of produce. The flow of air causes the heat and ethylene gas produced by the ripening produce to be moved out of the boxes, thus retarding the ripening process. The presence of moisture in the air reduces weight loss of the produce and improves the outer appearance of the produce.

Evaporative Coller Pump Apparatus

US Patent:
5527157, Jun 18, 1996
Filed:
Jan 28, 1994
Appl. No.:
8/187912
Inventors:
Harold O. Collins - Scottsdale AZ
James J. Hennessy - Phoenix AZ
Gilbert Mancillas - Phoenix AZ
Assignee:
Phoenix Manufacturing, Inc. - Phoenix AZ
International Classification:
F04B 4900
F16L 5500
US Classification:
417 12
Abstract:
Evaporative cooler apparatus includes two pumps, a primary pump which pumps water to an evaporative medium and a secondary pump for pumping water from the bottom of the cooler to drain the cooler. The secondary, or drain pump includes a timer so that it is only on to drain water from the bottom of the cooler for a predetermined time, and after a predetermined number of hours of operation of the primary pump. That is, there is a direct relationship between the operation of the cooler apparatus as evidenced by the primary pump, and the draining of the water at the bottom of the cooler by the secondary, or drain pump. The efficiency of the pumps is increased to allow them to pump with a very low water level without cavitation problems by virtue of an impeller design which includes vanes on the bottom of the impeller disk and vanes on top of an impeller disk. The vanes on top of the impeller disk are disposed radially inwardly from the outer periphery of the outer disk, and the vanes on the bottom of the disk extend radially outwardly from the center portion of the impeller disk. A drain pipe adapter allows a conventional overflow pipe to be used also to drain the water.

Support Device

US Patent:
4645161, Feb 24, 1987
Filed:
Jul 31, 1985
Appl. No.:
6/760976
Inventors:
Harold O. Collins - Scottsdale AZ
International Classification:
F16M 1100
US Classification:
248439
Abstract:
A self-contained adjustable support device designed to provide stable work supporting surfaces for a wide variety of objects in the legs extended position and also provides a legs collapsed position for storage and/or transport. The support device includes a pair of latch brackets with each latch bracket constructed to lock a pair of legs to a central beam either in the legs extended position or the legs collapsed position; and to allow each pair of legs to be adjusted to various positions along the beam.

Water Distribution Apparatus For An Evaporative Cooler

US Patent:
5130063, Jul 14, 1992
Filed:
Aug 26, 1991
Appl. No.:
7/750065
Inventors:
Harold O. Collins - Scottsdale AZ
James J. Hennessy - Phoenix AZ
International Classification:
B01F 304
US Classification:
261106
Abstract:
Water distribution apparatus for an evaporative medium in the evaporative cooler includes a single molded element which is disposed on the top of an evaporative medium. The water distribution apparatus contacts the four sides of the evaporative medium at the top of the evaporative medium and is sealed to both the top of the evaporative medium and to the top of the evaporative cooler housing in which the apparatus is disposed to prevent air loss around the apparatus and accordingly to insure that air flow is through the evaporative medium. A water distribution tube is disposed within a central water deflection element in the apparatus, and water from the tube falls onto the top of the evaporative medium.
