Multiple-Channel Conduit With Separate Wall Elements

US Patent:
2005027, Dec 22, 2005
Filed:
Jun 17, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/869083
Inventors:
Harold Stillman - Greenwich CT, US
Ralph Webb - Port Matilda PA, US
Jerry Gould - Columbus OH, US
International Classification:
F28F001/40
US Classification:
165177000, 165183000
Abstract:
A multiple channel tube and method of making such a tube. The preferred method includes providing a plurality of wall elements that are elongated in a longitudinal direction and that that have an elongated cross-section transversely to the longitudinal direction. The wall elements have opposite lateral sides disposed on opposite ends of an elongate axis of the cross-section. The wall elements are placed between first and second sheet members, and the opposite lateral sides of the wall elements are adhered to the sheet members to provide a plurality of channels defined between the adhered wall elements and the sheet members.

Corrosion-Compensated Net

US Patent:
2009022, Sep 17, 2009
Filed:
Mar 14, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/049010
Inventors:
Harold M. STILLMAN - Greenwich CT, US
International Classification:
A01K 61/00
US Classification:
119215
Abstract:
The present invention is directed to a corrosion-compensated net. A preferred embodiment has upper and lower net regions associated with each other to provide a wall. Each of the upper and lower net regions has an outer portion of a corrodible material. The respective outer portions of the upper and lower net regions are differently configured to compensate for a difference between corrosiveness levels of the environments at the upper and lower portions. The upper net portion can be configured to withstand a higher corrosiveness level than that of the lower net portion when exposed to the environment for equal amounts of time. In such an embodiment, the respective outer portions of the upper and lower net regions can have different thicknesses to compensate for the difference between corrosiveness levels of the environments at the upper and lower portions.

Aquaculture Net And Flotation Structure

US Patent:
2010005, Mar 4, 2010
Filed:
Apr 1, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/416740
Inventors:
Harold M. Stillman - Greenwich CT, US
Richard Luco Salman - Valdivia, CL
Assignee:
INTERNATIONAL COPPER ASSOCIATION, LTD - New York NY
International Classification:
A01K 61/00
US Classification:
119223
Abstract:
An exemplary embodiment of an aquaculture cage of the invention has a buoyant structure configured to float on a water surface, an aquaculture net portion made of a material that is corrodible by salt water and attached to the buoyant structure for positioning a top of the aquaculture net portion at a distance below the water surface, where the aquaculture net portion encloses an interior of the cage from the top of the aquaculture net portion to a bottom of the aquaculture net portion to retain marine life, and an upper enclosure portion enclosing space above the aquaculture net portion for preventing the marine life from escaping over the top of the aquaculture net portion, where the upper enclosure portion comprises a material that is substantially non-corrodible by salt water.

Method And Apparatus For Conveniently Providing A 220 Volt Electric Outlet In A Home Kitchen

US Patent:
4657332, Apr 14, 1987
Filed:
Jul 5, 1985
Appl. No.:
6/752135
Inventors:
Harold M. Stillman - Stamford CT
Assignee:
Cuisinarts, Inc. - Greenwich CT
International Classification:
H01R 13713
H01R 3372
US Classification:
339147R
Abstract:
A 220 Volt electric outlet is conveniently provided in a kitchen without requiring an electrician. The control switch for a heater element in an electric kitchen range is turned "OFF". This heater element is lifted from its well and unplugged or disconnected from the 220 Volt terminals normally energizing it. An adapter with an attractive cover for this well carries a centrally located 220 Volt outlet with electrical conductors extending downwardly and laterally to be connected to the supply terminals in the heater well. The adapter cover has a peripheral skirt which seats down flush against the top of the range. The 220 Volt outlet is accessible to the user from the top of the electric range conveniently available for supplying power to appliances which desirably would utilize more power than is available from a 110 Volt outlet, particularly heating and cooking appliances. For use the control switch is turned to "HIGH" for the heater well employed with this 220 Volt outlet adapter. The adapter may incorporate a circuit breaker.
