Abstract:
A wireless device lighting system provides backlighting of a display () and/or a user interface () of a wireless device (). A user interface () includes a plurality of buttons () for entering information and at least one multicolor LED for emitting light. The at least one multicolor LED is located behind the plurality of buttons (). The user interface () further includes a connector for connecting the user interface () to the wireless device () and a circuit board for mounting the at least one multicolor LED and the connector. The user interface () further includes a light pipe for allowing light emitted from the at least one multicolor LED to be emitted from the buttons (), the light pipe located between the at least one multicolor LED and the buttons (). The user interface () further includes a selector for allowing a user to define a color of light for emission by the at least one multicolor LED.

Dynamic Pre-Selector For A Gps Receiver

US Patent:
7593706, Sep 22, 2009
Filed:
Dec 21, 2005
Appl. No.:
11/313571
Inventors:
Brian E. Bucknor - Miramar FL, US
Humberto E. Garcia - Miami Lakes FL, US
Roberto Gautier - Davie FL, US
Assignee:
Motorola, Inc. - Schaumburg IL
International Classification:

Abstract:
A GPS receiver circuit () for reducing insertion loss. The receiver circuit () includes a switch () for diverting input signals between a filtered pathway () and a short circuit pathway () to an amplifier (). The amplifier () output feeds an automatic gain controller () that senses a noise level in the output of the amplifier () and adjusts a gain of the amplifier () in response to the noise level. The receiver circuit () also includes a threshold detector () with an input coupled to the output of the automatic gain controller () and an output coupled to the switch () for selecting between the filtered pathway () and the short circuit pathway (), thereby removing the filter () from the signal path if not needed.

Coexistence Interference Avoidance Between Two Different Radios Operating In The Same Band

US Patent:
2021026, Aug 26, 2021
Filed:
Jul 19, 2019
Appl. No.:
17/260153
Inventors:
- Plantation FL, US
Cuthbert Martindale Allen - Miramar FL, US
Humberto Eduardo Garcia - Davie FL, US
Sumanth Murali - Plantation FL, US
Juan Leopoldo Ballen - Parkland FL, US
Christopher Michael Lopez - Davie FL, US
International Classification:
H04W 72/12
H04W 76/15
H04W 24/08
G06F 3/14
Abstract:
Systems and methods for adaptive frequency hopping for reducing or avoiding electromagnetic interference between two radios operating in the same radio frequency (RF) band are provided. In one aspect, a host device, which includes first and second wireless radios and a hardware processor, can use adaptive frequency hopping among a plurality of RF channels to reduce interference. The device can control the first wireless radio to establish a first wireless connection with a terminal device via a first subset of channels, determine a set of performance statistics for the channels, and replace at least one of the first subset of the channels with a new channel within the plurality of channels based on the statistics. For example, a channel can be replaced if a packet error rate (PER) exceeds a threshold.
