G06F 17/30
US Classification:
715738, 715739, 715744, 707706, 707707, 707708, 707721, 707805
Abstract:
Techniques are described for displaying a representation of a list of electronic search results while a user is reviewing content linked to by electronic search results included in the list. While the user is reviewing the search results, the user may jump between content linked to by different search results using the representation of the list of electronic search results displayed. The displayed representation of the list of search results may be updated based on the user's browsing activities in reviewing the search results, user input manipulating the list of search results, and supplemental information added to the list of search results by the user.

Electronic Communication Reminder Technology

US Patent:
7921174, Apr 5, 2011
Filed:
Sep 14, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/882173
Inventors:
Jason Adam Denise - Bowie MD, US
International Classification:
G06F 15/16
G06F 15/173
US Classification:
709206, 709207, 709224
Abstract:
Techniques are described for providing reminders for electronic communications. For instance, response patterns of a user are determined by communication type based on monitoring past response behavior of the user and the response pattern data is stored for the user by communication type. After storing the response pattern data for the user by communication type, a particular communication that is for the user and that is initiated by a first sender is received. A type of the particular communication is determined and response pattern data associated with the determined type of the particular communication is accessed. A response reminder time for the particular communication is set based on the accessed response pattern data associated with the determined type of the particular communication.

Electronic Navigation Related Technology

US Patent:
8010285, Aug 30, 2011
Filed:
Sep 30, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/241551
Inventors:
Jason A. Denise - Bowie MD, US
International Classification:
G01C 21/00
US Classification:
701210, 34099521
Abstract:
Techniques are described for monitoring whether a user is following directions to a destination during electronic navigation to the destination provided by an electronic navigation device. When the electronic navigation device determines that the user is not following directions to the destination (e. g. , the user has missed several turns suggested by the electronic navigation device), the electronic navigation device determines that the user appears to be avoiding the route (or a primary component thereof) to the destination. In response to a determination that the user appears to be avoiding the route (or a primary component thereof) to the destination, the electronic navigation device may automatically, without human intervention, perform an operation directed to using an alternative route (or alternative primary component) to the destination despite the current route remaining preferred according to current routing settings.

Illuminated Refrigerator Dispenser System With Sensors

US Patent:
8109301, Feb 7, 2012
Filed:
Jan 6, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/349500
Inventors:
Jason Adam Denise - Bowie MD, US
International Classification:
F25D 23/00
B65B 1/04
US Classification:
141360, 141 94, 141 95, 141351, 141198, 62264, 362 92, 222113
Abstract:
A refrigerator having a dispenser that includes an outlet and that is configured to dispense content through the outlet and along an output flow path. The refrigerator also includes a detection unit configured to detect user activity that is indicative of a desire to fill a container with content using the dispenser. The refrigerator further includes an optical system that is configured to, in response to detecting the user activity, direct a beam of light along at least a portion of the output flow path of the dispenser to assist a user in positioning a container to receive content dispensed along the output flow path.

Image Analysis And Communication Device Control Technology

US Patent:
8131848, Mar 6, 2012
Filed:
Sep 29, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/569880
Inventors:
Jason Adam Denise - Bowie MD, US
International Classification:
G06F 15/173
US Classification:
709224
Abstract:
Techniques are described for controlling communication devices using image analysis. For instance, when a communication is received by a communication device, the communication device outputs an alert to notify users of the received communication and accesses one or more images of an area proximate to the communication device. The one or more images cover an area proximate to the communication device at a time during which the communication device is outputting the alert. The communication device analyzes the one or more images to determine whether a user is present in the one or more images and in a position to perceive the received communication. The communication device handles at least one aspect of the received communication based on the determination of whether a user is in a position to perceive the received communication.
