- Youngstown OH, US
Jason Garrett Lisko - Girard OH, US
Brian Rea - Boardman OH, US
Jeffery Bell - Newton Falls OH, US
Michael A. Gaskill - Salem OH, US
Assignee:
Taylor-Winfield Technologies, Inc. - Youngstown OH
International Classification:
B21J 5/00
B23K 37/02
B23K 13/01
B21C 37/08
B23K 11/06
B23K 11/087
B23K 13/02
Abstract:
An apparatus () for joining a predetermined geometrical profile shape from a sheet material (SM) includes a positioning assembly () including a base member () and a frame () that is operable to receive the sheet material (SM), to configure the sheet material in a predetermined orientation and to linearly translate the sheet material along a process direction (). A Z-bar () is configured to guide a first longitudinal edge (FE) and second longitudinal edge (SE) of the sheet material (SM) into adjacent alignment along the process direction (). A welding and forging assembly () welds and then forges a seam between the first longitudinal edge (FE) and the second longitudinal edge (SE) of the associated sheet material (SM).

Robotic Strapping Machine And Method

US Patent:
2019029, Sep 26, 2019
Filed:
Jun 5, 2017
Appl. No.:
16/306923
Inventors:
- Youngstown OH, US
Brian Rea - Boardman OH, US
Jeffery Bell - Newton Falls OH, US
Assignee:
Taylor-Winfield Technologies, Inc. - Youngstown OH
International Classification:
B65B 13/04
B65B 25/14
B65B 27/06
Abstract:
A strapping system and method for automatically applying strapping to at least one associated object, such as a roll of coiled material having a void. The system includes a first end effector (E) and second end effector (E), each end effector (EE) mountable to a robotic arm (AA) and including at least a portion of a chute, the end effectors (EE) movable relative to each other when mounted to a robotic arm (AA) such that the chute portions of each end effector can be selectively brought together in a plurality of orientations to define a generally continuous chute loop (CH) through which a strapping material can be advanced to surround the at least one associated object located at least partially within the chute loop.
