"Dale Jr. ... has done so much, my grandfather has done so much, they have laid down some pretty tough tracks to follow," Jeffrey Earnhardt, driver of the No. 33 Chevrolet, said Friday at Dover International Speedway. "But I'm going to keep doing my thing.
"One of the main goals that I want to achieve in my career is to continue the legacy that my grandfather built," Jeffrey Earnhardt said. "You know that means a lot to me. I know how much that man meant to the sport and the fans and stuff.
He has 36 career Cup starts and a best finish of 26th (this past October in Charlotte and at the 2017 Daytona 500), and this season marks the second for Jeffrey Earnhardt in a full-time Cup car. Last year, he drove in 22 Cup races, primarily for Go FAS Racing, and averaged a finish of 34th.
