Abstract:
A reductant producing apparatus and method is provided, the apparatus includes a catalyst attached to an encasement. The encasement has a first and second intake formed therein that are fluidly coupled to the catalyst. The first intake configured to allow entry of a hydrocarbon fuel into the encasement. The second intake is configured to allow entry of oxygen into the encasement. The catalyst is configured to catalyze an autothermal reaction to convert a mixture into a plurality of reductants comprising a plurality of hydrocarbons having a hydrocarbon chain length that is less than a hydrocarbon chain length of hydrocarbons in the hydrocarbon fuel. The mixture comprises the hydrocarbon fuel and the oxygen, and the mixture has a carbon-to-oxygen ratio that is greater than a one-to-one ratio.

Abstract:
A garment with a magnetic vent closure comprises a clothing, a magnetic flipper, a vent window, a ferrous element and a removably attaching element. The magnetic flipper extends from a predetermined portion of the clothing and has a first end and a second end. The first end is detachably attached on the clothing and the second end is fixedly attached on the clothing, and the first end of the magnetic flipper comprises a magnetic element fixedly attached thereon. The vent window forms a part of the clothing and has a plurality of vent holes therethrough and the magnetic flipper is detachably applied over the plurality of vent holes. The ferrous element maintains the vent window in an opened state by magnetically capturing the first end of the magnetic flipper.

Provided is a method for producing aromatic hydrocarbons from light alkanes. A light alkane is contacted with catalyst particles in each of reactors, wherein each of the reactors is a fluidized bed reactor arranged in parallel with each other in a furnace. At least a portion of the alkane feed is converted to aromatic hydrocarbons using the catalyst particles, wherein the aromatic hydrocarbons form a part of a reactor effluent stream. The reactor effluent streams from each of the reactors are merged to form a first merged effluent stream. Catalysts particles deactivated through the light alkane conversion are either regenerated inside the reactors or withdrawn from the reactors for regeneration outside the reactors. Abstract:
A process for producing aromatic hydrocarbons from a light alkane feedstock such as an ethane-containing hydrocarbon stream is disclosed. The process comprises: contacting a light alkane feedstock comprising at least 50% ethane with a bi-functional aromatization catalyst in a fluidized bed reactor of bubbling or turbulent fluidization regime. The fluidized bed reactor comprise a catalyst bed, catalytic combustor and internal heat exchanger tubes embedded in the catalyst bed to provide the heat supply necessary for production of aromatic hydrocarbons. Continuous and uninterrupted production of aromatic hydrocarbons is realized by fluidly connecting multiple reactors in parallel and cycling operation of individual reactors between aromatics production mode and catalyst regeneration mode.
