Disclosed is a system for accurately storing and reading digital identifications and permissions with an access rights management component that protects the privacy and integrity of the data stored on a smart device such as a smart card. The invention is intended to enable effective use of smart cards for applications such as air travelers identity, medical information such as history and prescriptions, or secure employee access cards. Multiple levels of security are permitted to ensure that users of the data, programs, and other resources stored on the card may access only that data that they have been authorized to. The use of a single card for multiple user roles necessitates multiple access methods to the card. For example, in a medical information or prescription card scenario, the cardholder may be the patient, and be able to access their personal patient data which is stored on the card with a PIN, password, or passphrase, by entering the aforementioned code on a computing device () which is attached to a card reader/writer device () which has the patient's card () inserted into it. That patient's doctor may be provided access to data on the same card, which may or may not include the patient's data by entering an alternate code, or providing a digital signature to the card from his or her card authorizing the doctor to write prescription information or update medical history. In this example, the patient would have read-only access to the data that the doctor had written. The technology disclosed in the invention is also intended for travelers' identification, which could hold biometric identity information, ticketing and/or boarding information, and federal information about the cardholder which would permit or prohibit the cardholder from traveling on airline flights.

In NR, a slot structure of a UE may be dynamic due the number of symbols of PDCCH and whether the slot has UL data, among other considerations. Additionally, to support multi-TRP/multi-panel/multi-BWP operation, a UE may be configured with multiple TRSs, and when a UE needs to receive multiple TRSs in the same slot, efficient signaling of the TRSs is important because of the high overhead involved. During a transmission, a UE may need to do beam switching when there is a beam failure, but existing systems do not have mechanisms for the UE to synchronize time and frequency with a new beam. Further, when a UE switches to a new beam, the effect on scheduled TRS transmission for old beams is unclear. Fine frequency and time tracking may also be required during an initial access procedure. Existing NR systems do not address how a UE may perform time and frequency tracking during an initial access procedure. Additionally, URLLC data may need to be transmitted to a UE immediately in an NR system. Existing NR systems do not address sending a TRS to a UE with URLLC data. Embodiments described herein address these and other issues.

In accordance with one embodiment, a wireless communications device such as an FBE, may conduct two stage channel sensing to avoid collision between other FBEs nodes. The wireless communications device may adjust the energy threshold to reflect a channel access priority. The FBE may conducting continuous and non-continuous second stage channel sensing. The FBE may perform enhanced two stage channel sensing to exploit the remaining portion of the COT. User equipment (UE) in beam-centric telecommunications cell may use a variety of listen-before-talk (LBT) procedures and hybrid channel access procedures for uplink transmissions are on different beams and configured or scheduled in contiguous or non-contiguous mode. UE behavior may be based on the LBT result across the different beams. A gNB may indicate LBT occasions to UEs. The UL numerology may be adjusted without LBT while near the end of a gNB's maximum channel occupancy time (MCOT). A gNB may use LBT procedures, before down link transmissions, using data, control, and reference signals, etc., across different beams.
