Toy Gun For Producing Fog Filled Bubbles

US Patent:
2005000, Jan 6, 2005
Filed:
Mar 25, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/810329
Inventors:
John LaFata - Ventura CA, US
Richard LaFata - Oxnard CA, US
International Classification:
A63H033/28
US Classification:
446024000
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a smoke producing toy, including a compressible chamber adapted to receive a liquid and having an opening therein. A heating element is at least partially received in the opening and a member is adjacent to said compressible chamber. An activating device is coupled to the member. Whereby when the device is activated using the activating device, the member moves and compresses the chamber, thereby forcing the liquid through the opening and past the heating element, which in turn heats the liquid and turns the liquid to vapor.

Toy For Producing Fog Filled Bubbles

US Patent:
2005014, Jul 7, 2005
Filed:
Oct 12, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/963388
Inventors:
John LaFata - Ventura CA, US
Richard LaFata - Ventura CA, US
International Classification:
A63H033/28
F25B015/00
US Classification:
446018000
Abstract:
A toy for producing bubbles including a nozzle connected to the housing. The nozzle is adapted to receive and at least temporarily hold a bubble solution. The toy also includes a vapor generator mounted in the housing, where the vapor generator is positioned adjacent to the nozzle and an air mover mounted in the housing, where the air mover is positioned adjacent to the vapor generator. The toy further includes at least one activator movably connected to the housing. The activator being in communication with the vapor generator and the air mover. Upon the activation of the activator by a user, the activator causes the vapor generator to generate vapor and causes the air mover to move an amount of air through the vapor generator and the bubble solution on the nozzle to produce at least one vapor-filled bubble.

Spill-Resistant Bubble-Blowing Apparatus

US Patent:
6135842, Oct 24, 2000
Filed:
Apr 13, 1999
Appl. No.:
9/290588
Inventors:
John E. LaFata - Ventura CA
Assignee:
Oddzon, Inc. - Pawtucket RI
TOI, LLC - Ventura CA
International Classification:
A63H 3328
B65D 8124
US Classification:
446 15
Abstract:
A spill-resistant bubble-blowing apparatus, adapted to be used with a bottle filled with bubble solution and a bubble-blowing wand disposed in the bottle and being sized to allow the bubble-blowing wand to pass through the opening in the bottle, is provided with a cap portion adapted to be coupled to a bubble-solution bottle and having an opening formed therein and an insert adapted to be disposed adjacent the cap portion. The insert has a raised portion with a perimeter that corresponds to the opening in the cap portion and a central portion with a slot formed therein, with the central portion of the insert being composed of a flexible material. The slot in the central portion is sized to allow a bubble-blowing end of a bubble-blowing wand to pass through it and has a width small enough to prevent significant passage of bubble solution through the cap portion. The central portion of the insert may be provided with one or more pairs of opposed flexible flaps which are separated from each other by the slot in the insert.

Bellows For A Bubble Blowing Toy

Target Bubble Generation And Target Shooting System

US Patent:
5042819, Aug 27, 1991
Filed:
Sep 10, 1990
Appl. No.:
7/580145
Inventors:
John E. LaFata - Oxnard CA
International Classification:
A63H 3328
A63F 902
US Classification:
273349
Abstract:
Target bubble generating and target shooting systems (50, 50A, 50B, 50C) are disclosed employing a target bubble generator housing (59), a pair of left and right actuating handles (51, 55) pivotally coupled at their front ends of the left and right vertical edges of the housing (59), and a bellows assembly (116) positioned intermediate the left and right handles (51, 55) and coupled to the latter at the approximate midpoints thereof. The target bubble generating housing (59) includes a torus-shaped reservoir (81) and a vertically reciprocable bubble wand (98) having a film-forming elliptical ring structure (101) including upper and lower serrated arcuate edges (102, 104) of truncated triangular cross section to minmize disturbance of the soapy fluid in the reservoir (81) as the bubble wand (98) exits the fluid. The bellows assembly (116) generates three positive pressure airstreams during compression--one to lift the wand (98) out of the film-forming solution, one to strip the soapy film from the wand (98) to form and project target bubbles (60), and one to actuate an audible sound generator (127). During expansion, the bellows assembly (116) creates a negative pressure condition which serves to affirmatively retract the bubble wand (98).

Packaging System

US Patent:
5603201, Feb 18, 1997
Filed:
Feb 4, 1994
