I was born in boston Massachusetts. (go PATRIOTS, CELTICS, RED SOX) And relocated to jacksonville when I was 3. My father was in the military (navy - USS Bigalow), I grew up on the southside where I went to brookview, Landmark and sandalwood. While at sandalwood I played football 1997-2000. Upon Graduation I attended University of North florida. I originally majored in Engineering. I worked full time and paid for my 1st two years out of pocket, so I am no stranger to long hours and hard work. While at UNF I joined kappa alpha psi fraternity inc., I held the position of Strategus. I eventually lost my passion for engineering and changed my major to business in 2004. My financial aid combined with the money I saved over the years allowed me to fur fill one of my goals, to go away to college. In the fall of 2004 I transferred to florida A&M university where I became active in various organizations. It was here that I tapped into some of my true passions, meeting new people, promotions & marketing, helping people. Upon Graduation I moved back to jacksonville. I initially came back to Jacksonville with a company that recruited me, however the actually job was not like recruiter described it. In 2007 The opportunity to work in finance came with fidelity investments. This allowed me to really tap into some of my passions. I acquired my series 7 and 63 and became a full trader, trading everything from mutual funds to creating advance options. Unfortunately my timing couldnt be any worse and I was the victim up the economic down turn. After that I took various odd end jobs to survive like many others, however in fall of 2012 I had many friends who had began careers in the mortgage industry. After enough peer pressure I decided to look into the industry. I began my mortgage career with Foundation Financial Group, a local lender who specialized in FHA Refinances. While there I passed all of my licensing exams while in the management training program. By summer of 2013 interest rates reached began to rise and changes to FHA mortgage insurance may "FHA Refinances" an extremely undesirable product. So in fall 2013 I relocated my talents to VanDyk Mortgage another local lender whom focuses more on purchase business. VA loans in a city that has such a strong military presence, Conventional loans with the amount down as low a FHA loans. The vast amount of products have allowed me to help more people than ever before. - During my work hours I talk to people who want to began the home buying process. - I talk to home owners who are looking to sell without a Realtor about their home and i provide them tips and guide them on a successful sale by owner. -I get buyers pre-qualified so they know exactly how much they can spend on a home so they can began searching themself. - I connect buyers to the best realtors jacksonville has to offer. - I provide complementary financial and credit evaluations for buys who are 6 months to a year away from the actual purchase so they are able to plan and prepare accordingly for the home buying process. In my spare time - I volunteer, I attend various entertainment and creative events, I love sports (especially football), I often attend jaguar, sharks, giants and suns games.
