Cordless Rechargeable Powered Washing System

US Patent:
6374447, Apr 23, 2002
Filed:
Apr 16, 1999
Appl. No.:
09/292969
Inventors:
Joseph M. Armbruster - Lighthouse Point FL, 33064
Sue B. Armbruster - Lighthouse Point FL, 33064
International Classification:
A46B 1302
US Classification:
15 28, 15 971, 15 491, 151441
Abstract:
A hand manipulated cordless rechargeable powered washing system powered by an electric motor and a rechargeable battery. The washing system includes an apparatus that is lightweight, self contained and submersible. The motor is a high speed motor having dual planetary reduction gear set to reduce the output to a low rpm high torque drive. The DC motor is powered by a rechargeable stick battery on the housing or on a handle attached to the housing. Interchangeable brushes can be used with different bristle arrangements. The handle is an elongated wand type handle having a U-shaped yoke at one end pivotally connected to the motor housing and includes a lock mechanism engaging a portion of the motor housing to lock the motor housing in rigid predetermined angular relation to the longitudinal axis of the wand type handle to enable a non-concentric, non-perpendicular bristle brush to be rigidly associated in a desired angular relation to the handle.

Flashlight

US Patent:
4135230, Jan 16, 1979
Filed:
Feb 15, 1977
Appl. No.:
5/768704
Inventors:
Joseph M. Armbruster - Pompano Beach FL
International Classification:
F21L 100
US Classification:
362206
Abstract:
An elongated tubular body constructed of conductive material is provided and includes open front and rear ends. A combined reflector and lens assembly is supported from the front end of the body and a bulb is removably supported from the reflector and lens assembly and includes center and base terminals with the base terminal electrically connected, by the reflector and the lens assembly, to the body and the center terminal supported out of electrical connection with the body. Battery structure is slidably disposed within the body and includes a forwardly facing forward terminal in electrical contact with the center terminal of the bulb and a rearwardly facing rear terminal. A thick walled sleeve is disposed and longitudinally slidable in the rear end of the body and is constructed of deformable, resilient dielectric material. The front end of the sleeve includes a contact electrically contacting the rear terminal of the battery structure and a thrust member is mounted in the rear end of the body behind the sleeve for adjustable positioning therealong to variably bias the sleeve and thus the battery, forwardly in the body. The thrust member is constructed of conductive material and is in electrical contact with the body.

Air Filter Assembly

US Patent:
5217513, Jun 8, 1993
Filed:
May 11, 1992
Appl. No.:
7/877142
Inventors:
Joseph M. Armbruster - Lighthouse Point FL
International Classification:
B01D 2956
B01D 4618
US Classification:
55274
Abstract:
An air filter assembly and more specifically the use and combination of a relatively inexpensive and easily replaced paper filter associated with a conventional polyfoam or fiberglass filter conventionally employed in an intake of an air duct system associated with an air conditioning system or air heating system utilized in homes, offices and the like. Specifically, the air filter assembly includes a rolled filter paper that is drawn across the upstream side of a polyfoam filter or fiberglass filter which acts as a support for the filter paper with the paper filter being replaced periodically by moving a new segment of paper filter from the paper supply roll to a position in alignment with and in engagement with the polyfoam filter and disposing of the used paper filter. An inspection window is provided in the air intake louver door normally provided in air conditioning/heating systems to enable the condition of the paper filter to be observed to determine if the paper filter should be changed. In one embodiment, the paper filter is manually pulled to move a new segment into alignment with the polyfoam filter.

Socketless Light Bulb Holder

US Patent:
4824393, Apr 25, 1989
Filed:
Jul 11, 1986
Appl. No.:
6/884518
Inventors:
Joseph M. Armbruster - Lighthouse Point FL
International Classification:
H01R 13625
US Classification:
439332
Abstract:
A socketless light bulb holder in the form of a substantially rigid, plastic bracket including a base affixed to a supporting structure with a generally centrally disposed mounting screw and a pair of terminal screws. The holder also includes a bulb holder portion snugly embracing the base of a light bulb. The terminals on the base of the light bulb are connected to conductor members extending from the terminals on the base of the light bulb to the terminal screws on the base of the holder with the conductor members being soldered to the terminals on the base of the light bulb thereby eliminating the necessity of the light bulb being inserted into and twisted in relation to a light bulb socket in order to mount the light bulb in the socket. In one embodiment of the invention, the holder includes a locking retainer for engagement with one of the bayonet pins which conventionally project radially from the base of the light bulb to mechanically lock the bulb in position. In another embodiment, the holder which snugly engages the base of the light bulb is provided wiht a slot enabling passage of one of the radially extending pins on the base of the light bulb.

Illuminated Feather-Touch Solenoid Actuated Vehicle Day/Night Mirror

US Patent:
4781436, Nov 1, 1988
Filed:
Mar 14, 1986
Appl. No.:
6/839573
Inventors:
Joseph M. Armbruster - Lighthouse Point FL
International Classification:
G02B 718
G02B 1700
US Classification:
350281
Abstract:
A rear view mirror mounted either interiorly or exteriorly of a vehicle which incorporates a unique structure providing an illuminated, feather-touch, bar switch for actuating a solenoid to change the mirror from day-to-night and night-to-day positions by utilizing a single finger, feather-touch operation. The mirror also includes a map light or lights located along the lower edge thereof with the map light or lights being actuated by a feather touch switch or switches and icluding a downwardly facing fresnel lens to direct a light beam for easy map reading and a shield or baffle to prevent light rays from entering the eyes of the vehicle operator. A mechanical memory switch and push/pull solenoid may be utilized as an alternative to magnetically latched solenoid and circuitry therewith.
