5595081, Jan 21, 1997
Filed:
Jun 20, 1995
Appl. No.:
8/492624
Inventors:
Joseph V. Nuzzo - Willowbrook IL
John F. Miroballi - Schaumburg IL
Assignee:
Penta Products, Inc. - Villa Park IL
International Classification:
E05B 1700
US Classification:

Abstract:
A lockable container, such as a toy safe, comprises a box having an upper wall, a lower wall, a back wall, and two side walls and having a front opening. A front door hinged to the box is movable between a closing position, in which the front door closes the front opening, and other positions, in which the front door does not close the front opening. A shelf disposed within the box extends from the back wall, between the side walls. A combination lock is mounted on the front door for locking the front door in the closing position and for unlocking the front door upon manipulation of the combination lock in accordance with a combination of alphanumeric characters. The front door has an inner surface, on which the combination is displayed below the shelf. The displayed combination is visible, when the front opening is closed by the front door, through one of a series of open vents provided in the back wall, below the shelf, at least if and when the combination is illuminated through another of the series of open vents.

Display Stand With Rollers Arranged To Elevate And To Resist Accidental Movement But To Facilitate Manual Pushing, Pulling, Or Turning Movement

US Patent:
5868371, Feb 9, 1999
Filed:
Feb 21, 1996
Appl. No.:
8/604492
Inventors:
Joseph V. Nuzzo - Willowbrook IL
Assignee:
Container Graphics & Display, Inc. - Villa Park IL
International Classification:
A47B 9100
US Classification:
24834601
Abstract:
A display stand has a front wall, a back wall, and two side walls defining four lower corners of the display stand. Near each lower corner, the display stand is equipped with a base, which is equipped with a first roller mounted to the base so as to be freely rotatable about a generally horizontal axis and with a second roller mounted to the base so as to be freely rotatable about a generally horizontal axis. The axes about which the first rollers are rotatable are perpendicular to the axes about which the second rollers are rotatable. Each of the first rollers is located beneath a respective one of the side walls, near a respective one of the front and back walls. Each of the second rollers is located beneath a respective one of the front and back walls, near a respective one of the side walls. Being so arranged, the rollers elevate the display stand above a floor and resist accidental movement of the display stand, as on a sloping floor, but facilitate manual pushing, pulling, or turning movement of the display stand.
