About:
Like many other transplants of this city, it didn’t take me long to realize that there is something about New Orleans that makes it easy to call “home.” I am a native of the Northeast, but after twelve years of living here, I am a New Orleanian at heart. I was born and raised in Princeton, New Jersey. At a young age, I developed an interest in architecture. I was inspired by the colonial homes of my surrounding neighborhoods and by the Collegiate Gothic style of Princeton University. After graduation from high school, I committed myself to professional horse training and spent many years representing the United States Equestrian Team all around the world. The physicality that was required took a toll of my body and in 2001 I was forced to give up my career after undergoing back surgery. I took the opportunity to travel to Europe and ultimately moved to Rome, Italy. My passion for architecture was reignited and I felt like I had a new lease on life after returning to the United States in 2002. I sold my home in Virginia and moved to New Orleans, what I consider to be the most European city in the US. I enrolled at Tulane University to obtain my undergraduate degree, but Hurricane Katrina hit and I was forced to evacuate. The disaster not only affected New Orleans, but my relationship to it. I felt a great commitment to my surrogate city and decided to help others regain their lives by becoming a licensed realtor. My life and career were enriched by the opportunity to help residents reclaim and rebuild the place that they call home. In 2008, I tapped into my creative side and became an accredited home stager. Presently, I am an active supporter of the Preservation Resource Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and enhancing the historic neighborhoods of New Orleans. I have chaired the Shotgun House Tour and I am currently a committee member of the Great Neighborhood Sellabration. My client base includes homebuyers and sellers alike. I find great satisfaction in being part of making my clients’ goals a reality, whether they are becoming first-time owners or selling the house that their family has outgrown. I feel that the service I offer not only benefits the individuals and couples I work with, but also the growth and revitalization of New Orleans. In my free time, I volunteer for the Alzheimer’s Association and partake in their walks in the state of Louisiana. I recently chaired their Literary Luncheon, an event to raise awareness for the disease. I also enjoy spending time with my friends and experiencing what each distinct season of New Orleans has to offer.
