G06V 20/52
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for receiving location data for a first location and a second location and generating a plurality of candidate routes to travel from the first location to the second location, based on the location data, each candidate route comprising a plurality of segments. The systems and methods further generate a safety score for each segment of each candidate route of the plurality of candidate routes, generate a safety score for each candidate route based on safety scores generated for each segment associated with each candidate route, select a best candidate route using the safety score associated with each of the candidate routes, and provide a recommendation for a travel route comprising the best candidate route

Providing A Model Of A Vehicle To A Rider At An Accurate Orientation

US Patent:
2021038, Dec 9, 2021
Filed:
Aug 19, 2021
Appl. No.:
17/407114
Inventors:
- San Francisco CA, US
Aaron Matthew Rogan - Westminster CO, US
Kapil Gupta - Sunnyvale CA, US
Wei Hao - Boulder CO, US
International Classification:
G08G 1/00
G06K 9/00
G01C 21/36
Abstract:
Systems and methods are disclosed herein for providing a model of a vehicle to a rider. In an embodiment, the systems and methods determine that a driver has accepted a task to operate a vehicle from a first location to a rider location. The systems and methods then access a model corresponding to the vehicle, determine a direction of movement of the vehicle, and determine a relative orientation of the vehicle with respect to the rider based on the first location, the direction of movement of the vehicle, and the rider location. The systems and methods generate for display, on a client device of the rider, the model at an angle determined based on the relative orientation.

Location Point Of Interest Generation System

US Patent:
2021037, Dec 2, 2021
Filed:
May 3, 2021
Appl. No.:

International Classification:
G06Q 30/02
G06Q 50/30
G06Q 50/14
G06F 16/29
G06F 16/9537
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for partitioning a geographical area to generate a plurality of partitions for the geographical area, determining a plurality of points of interest located in the geographic area, determining a popularity of each of the plurality of points of interest based on a trip count comprising at least one of a number of ridesharing pickups or a number of ride-sharing drop-offs at the point of interest, and for each partition of the plurality of partitions of the geographical area, determining one popular point of interest located within the partition and associating the one popular point of interest with the partition.

Location Anonymization System

US Patent:
2020031, Oct 1, 2020
Filed:
Apr 1, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/371408
Inventors:
- San Francisco CA, US
Kapil Gupta - Sunnyvale CA, US
Susmit Biswas - San Mateo CA, US
International Classification:
H04W 12/02
H04W 64/00
H04W 4/02
H04L 29/06
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for generating a plurality of cells representing a geographical area, where each cell of the plurality of cells comprises a plurality of address points representing addresses in the cell, and normalizing each address corresponding to each address point into a hierarchical structure of address components. The systems and methods further provide for traversing a hierarchical structure of address components for address points in a first cell to determine address components that are different between address points in the first cell, and for each address component that is different between address points in the first cell, generating an anonymized address component using a common prefix for the address component or a combination of address components. An anonymized address is generated for the first cell comprising at least one anonymized address component, and the anonymized address is stored for the first cell.

Route Optimization System Based On Height Parameter

US Patent:
2020025, Aug 13, 2020
Filed:
Feb 7, 2019
Appl. No.:
16/270040
Inventors:
- San Francisco CA, US
Karapet Shaginyan - San Francisco CA, US
Seth Alan Woolley - Portland OR, US
Kapil Gupta - Sunnyvale CA, US
International Classification:
G01C 21/36
G06N 20/00
G01C 21/34
Abstract:
Systems and methods for managing routing involving an indicated point of interest associated with a plurality of levels of a multilevel (overlapping or stacked) roadway are provided. In example embodiments, a networked system aggregates trip data received from user devices that includes location information and detected attributes for points of interest. The networked system analyzes the location information and the detected attributes to determine a height parameter and, in some cases, a characteristic associated with different levels of the multilevel roadway for points of interest. The height parameters and characteristics for each point of interest are stored to a database in a data storage. During runtime, the networked system receives a request that includes a point of interest. In response, the networked system detects a level of roadway at the point of interest using the database and real-time device data. Based on the detected level of the multilevel roadway, a route is generated and presented.
