Abstract:
Provided is a sequenced fluid control device that includes a pneumatic driver module, a fluid cartridge having at least one fluid chamber and at least one waste chamber, and at least one sample delivery element disposed to sealably contact the fluid cartridge forming a main chamber containing a sample, where the fluid cartridge is also disposed to sealably contact the pneumatic driver module. The pneumatic driver module injects gas into or withdraws gas from the fluid cartridge, where the gas directly contacts at least one fluid causing at least one fluid to flow through channels disposed to connect at least one fluid chamber to the sample delivery element and disposed to connect the sample delivery element to the at least one waste chamber or waste channel, where a sample on the sample delivery element is exposed to the at least one fluid.

Inflation Support System For Mr Guided Hifu

US Patent:
2013023, Sep 19, 2013
Filed:
Mar 19, 2012
Appl. No.:
13/424123
Inventors:
John W. EATON - Palo Alto CA, US
Keith A. WONG - San Francisco CA, US
Assignee:
Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. - Malvern PA
International Classification:
A61B 6/04
A61G 13/02
US Classification:
5601
Abstract:
A support device has an inflatable element positioned above a top side of a table, above which a patient can be positioned. The table is part of, and movable into and out of a bore of, a medical imaging machine. The inflatable element can have one or more fluid fillable cells selectively inflatable and deflatable to alter a position of a patent relative to the top side of the table. The support device can be employed in a system having a control apparatus coupled to the support device and operable to inflate and deflate the inflatable element to alter the position of a patient supported by the table.

Method And System For Embedded Chip Erase Verification

US Patent:
6331951, Dec 18, 2001
Filed:
Nov 21, 2000
Appl. No.:
9/717550
Inventors:
Edward V. Bautista - Santa Clara CA
Darlene G. Hamilton - San Jose CA
Weng Fook Lee - Penang, MY
Keith H. Wong - San Jose CA
Assignee:
Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. - Sunnyvale CA
International Classification:
G11C 1606
US Classification:
36518522
Abstract:
A method and system are disclosed for verifying memory cell erasure, which may be employed in association with a dual bit memory cell architecture. The method includes selectively verifying proper erasure of one of a first bit of the cell and a second bit of the cell, determining that the dual bit memory cell is properly erased if the first and second bits of the cell are properly erased, and selectively erasing at least one of the first and second bits of the cell if one of the first and second bits is not properly erased. The method may also comprise selectively re-verifying proper erasure of one of the first and second bits after selectively erasing at least one of the first and second bits.

Position Detection Of Blood Pressure Device

US Patent:
2022040, Dec 29, 2022

Dan Stefan Tudose - Bucharest, RO
Conor Joseph Heneghan - Campbell CA, US
International Classification:
A61B 5/022
A61B 5/00
Abstract:
An aspect of the disclosure pertains to detecting a position of a blood pressure measurement device. An inflatable bladder of the blood pressure measurement device defines, at least in part, a pressurizable volume. The inflatable bladder may be inflated to pressurize a user's appendage and temporarily occlude blood flow in the user's appendage. A pump may initiate inflation of the inflatable bladder when one or more accelerometers and/or one or more proximity sensors determine that the blood pressure measurement device is within sufficient proximity or elevation to a user's heart and stationary.
