Abstract:
An extension ladder comprised of a pair of base rails interlocked in a tongue and groove relationship with a pair of slide rails is disclosed. The rails may be manufactured in a variety of shapes including "I" beams, rectangles, boxes, or even ovals or circular shapes. Some embodiments of the ladder include a pulley assembly which is fastened to a fly rail rung and a rope is passed through the pulley to form a continuous loop around the rungs of the base set of rail rungs and the fly fail rungs. In addition, some embodiments include means for attaching tools to the fly rail.

Disclosed herein is an electrical connector. The electrical connector comprises a flexible printed circuit comprising electrical elements on a flexible substrate. The electrical elements each comprises a solder pad and contact pad connected by a link. The electrical connector also comprises a base to at least partially surround the flexible printed circuit. The base comprises a connection interface to facilitate electrical connection with the flexible printed circuit through the base. The electrical connector further comprises a receptacle to couple to the base to partially enclose the flexible printed circuit. Abstract:
A pultrusion process comprises steps of: pulling a matrix of continuous reinforcement fibers through a wet-out chamber and forming die while injecting thermoplastic resin (e.g. thermoplastic polyurethane) into the wet-out chamber, and providing secondary stations that remove, reform, and/or add material downstream of the forming die using heat and pressure to form a final beam shape with integrally-formed features thereon. The reinforcement matrix is optimally glass fiber, but can include different types of reinforcements, including strands, bundles, mats, weavings, rods, and other reinforcements and combinations of reinforcements, each of which can be strategically located in the beam profile. The final beam includes intermittent or continuous specialized features integrated into the beam along its length, allowing reduction of material waste, reduced/minimized later assembly, and reduced total number of parts.
