Abstract:
A chip package for reduced EMI. In one embodiment, a chip package includes a semiconductor chip mounted on a substrate. First and second horizontal conductors may be present within the substrate. The semiconductor chip is coupled to the first and second horizontal conductors by a first and second pluralities of vertical conductors, respectively. The silicon chip may receive power via the first horizontal conductor and the first plurality of vertical conductors. The first and second horizontal conductors are connected to external connectors by third and fourth pluralities of vertical conductors, respectively. One or more capacitors may be electrically coupled between the first and second horizontal conductors.

Abstract:
A secure registry system and method for the use thereof are provided which permits secure access to a database containing selected data on a plurality of entities, at least portions of which database has restricted access. Mechanisms are provided for controlling access to restricted access portions of the database are provided, such access being determined by at least one of the identity of the requesting entity and the entity's status. A multicharacter public code may be provided which the system can map to provide permit delivery of items, complete telephone calls and perform other functions for entities. The system may also be utilized to locate an individual based on limited biological data. Organizations utilizing the system may have custom software facilitating their access and use of the system.

Abstract:
A method and system for controlling access to a plurality of secure computer networks using a secure registry system is disclosed. The secure registry system includes a database containing selected data of a plurality of users each authorized to access at least one of the plurality of secure computer networks. The method and system facilitate receiving authentication information from an entity at a secure computer network, communicating the authentication information to the secure registry system, validating the authentication information at the secure registry system, receiving from the secure registry system an indication of whether the entity is authorized to access the secure computer network, and granting the entity access to the secure computer network when the authentication information of the entity corresponds to one of the plurality of users.

Abstract:
The present invention provides a system, method and apparatus that includes a user device having a magnetic field generator disposed within a substrate that is normally inactive, an initiator mounted on the substrate, a memory disposed within the substrate and a processor disposed within the substrate that is communicably coupled to the magnetic field generator, the initiator and the memory. The processor is operable to process information received from the initiator, generate a time varying code in response to the received information and activate the magnetic field generator. A power source is also disposed within the substrate. The magnetic field generator can create a spatial magnetic signal using a magnetic stripe and one or more induction coils, or create a time-varying magnetic signal for emulating data obtained from swiping a traditional magnetic stripe card through a magnetic card reader.

According to one embodiment, the processor is configured to generate a non-predictable value and to generate encrypted authentication information from the non-predictable value, the identifying information, and at least one of the information concerning the biometric input and the secret information, and to communicate the encrypted authentication information via the communication link to the secure registry.
