System And Method For Redirecting A Website Upon The Occurrence Of A Disaster Or Emergency Event

US Patent:
7836207, Nov 16, 2010
Filed:
Dec 20, 2007
Appl. No.:
11/961686
Inventors:
Kevin Avon Foote - Tuscaloosa AL, US
Robert Allen Carr - Pinson AL, US
Assignee:
Fast Health Corporation - Tuscaloosa AL
International Classification:
G06F 15/173
US Classification:
709245
Abstract:
A system and method to deflect DNS inquires to a new IP address for a website prior to or after the occurrence of a natural disaster that damages the computer infrastructure of an organization, thereby interrupting the organization's ability to continue to offer its website information. An automated process is included that alters a zone file on a controlling DNS server in a manner that provides a minimum of disruption to resolver programs attempting to resolve names of deflected computers via Internet DNS. An intelligent monitor program continually, but periodically, surveys the organization's web server to confirm its operations status and intervenes in the DNS resolution structure for that web server in the event that a sustained disruption occurs.

System And Method For The Issuance Of An Emergency Text Alert In Response To The Redirection Of A Website

US Patent:
8645570, Feb 4, 2014
Filed:
Nov 15, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/946525
Inventors:
Kevin Avon Foote - Tuscaloosa AL, US
Robert Allen Carr - Tuscaloosa AL, US
Assignee:
Fast Health Corporation - Tuscaloosa AL
International Classification:
G06F 15/16
US Classification:
709245, 709206
Abstract:
A system and method to issue a text alert message in response to a website deflection. DNS inquires for a website resource may be deflected to a new IP address for a website prior to or after the occurrence of a natural disaster, emergency event, attack, or other event that damages the computer infrastructure of an organization or causes interruption in website administration, thereby interrupting the organization's ability to continue to offer or update its website information. Alternatively, the system can be used to issue marketing alerts in response to a website deflection. The text alert may be issued responsive to deflection or responsive to an automated process that alters a zone file on a controlling DNS server.

System And Method For Promoting Messages To A Plurality Of Websites From A Centralized Authority In Response To A Disaster Or Emergency Event

US Patent:
2009016, Jun 25, 2009
Filed:
Jul 11, 2008
Appl. No.:
12/171745
Inventors:
Kevin Avon Foote - Tuscaloosa AL, US
Robert Allen Carr - Pinson AL, US
Assignee:
Fast Health Corporation - Tuscaloosa AL
International Classification:
G06F 15/16
US Classification:
709245
Abstract:
A system and method for broadcasting messages to selected websites in order to provide emergency information to the U.S. populace, or zone applicable populace, from a central authority. This is achieved by implementing a “partial deflection” of a website altering the applicable zone file on a DNS server having authority over a website. Depending up which authority makes a request for broadcasting an emergency message, an emergency website is created and a partial deflection of the original entity's page is deflected to a main frame accompanying a header frame displaying the emergency alert message the emergency alert webpage. The requesting authority retains control over the content of the emergency message and can trigger the implementation of the broadcast from a variety of signal interfaces.

System And Method For Avatar Tethering To A User On A Social Networking Website

US Patent:
2014005, Feb 20, 2014
Filed:
Nov 19, 2009
Appl. No.:
12/622133
Inventors:
Kevin Avon Foote - Tuscaloosa AL, US
Robert Allen Carr - Tuscaloosa AL, US
International Classification:
G06Q 30/00
G06Q 99/00
G06T 15/70
G06F 15/16
G06F 3/00
US Classification:
705 1466, 705 1473, 705319, 345473, 715760, 709204
Abstract:
A system for tethering a plurality of avatars to a user on a social networking website having a first avatar association to the user accessing the social networking site which is held in a database, and a second avatar association to the same user. The first avatar association connects the user to an avatar image that the user wishes to project, and the second avatar association connects the user to a third party advertiser that has its own avatar. Optionally, the user has a third avatar association connecting the user to the avatar of the website sponsor. A webserver generates web pages for the social networking website in response to a remote PC's request and, relying upon the stated avatar associations, delivers a webpage having the two or three avatars adjacent to a one another and adjacent to a communicative activity of the first user on the social network website.
