Filed:
Jun 18, 2003
Appl. No.:
10/465352
Inventors:
Brian A. Phillips - San Francisco CA, US
Chad M. Hurley - Palo Alto CA, US
Greg Cervelli - San Jose CA, US
Ki Ching Wong - Sunnyvale CA, US
Paul A. Martin - Menlo Park CA, US
Steve Chen - Sunnyvale CA, US
Yu Pan - Mountain View CA, US
Assignee:
eBay Inc. - San Jose CA
International Classification:
G06Q 99/00
US Classification:
705330, 705 26
Abstract:
An integrated shipping scheme enables seller users of a third-party payment service to facilitate shipping transactions in connection with payment transactions for items sold by the sellers. Shipping information is automatically gathered and/or entered by the seller via a computer interface hosted by the third-party payment service and sent “behind the scenes” to a selected shipping vendor. The shipping vendor processes the shipping information, and returns shipment data, including data to generate a shipping label. A web page containing the shipping label is then generated and served to a client operated by the seller and displayed on a browser screen, enabling the shipping label to be printed out by the seller. At the same time, electronic payment transfer operations are performed to effectively transfer payment from the seller directly to the shipping vendor via the third-party payment service in a manner that is transparent to both the seller and the shipping vendor.

The shipping vendor processes the shipping information, and returns shipment data, including data to generate a shipping label. A web page containing the shipping label is then generated and served to a client operated by the sender, enabling the shipping label to be printed out. Audio Card With Pneumatic Switch

US Patent:
2011026, Nov 3, 2011
Filed:
Apr 30, 2010
Appl. No.:
12/799697
Inventors:
Ki Kin Wong - Corte Madera CA, US
International Classification:
G09F 1/04
US Classification:
4012402
Abstract:
An audio card having a microprocessor, a power supply, a speaker and LED lights enclosed in a pocket that is attached to the inside wall of the front panel of the card. The card produces an audio signal and an illuminated LED display when the card is opened. The speaker and LED lights are placed in a pocket directly behind an aperture located in the front panel of the card. When a person opens the card, a master switch causes the audio signal and LED lights to activate. When a person blows into the aperture, the air pressure of the person's blowing breath causes a change in the output of the electromagnetic coil of the speaker. This change in output is registered in the microprocessor which in turn directs the audio signal and LED lights to turn off.

The top surface of the main body has a plurality of apertures. Each light sensing device located directly under each main body aperture. Each page has one or more apertures that are aligned with at least one of the main body apertures. Each light blocking panel is interleaved between each page so that when the page is turned by the user the light blocking panel will slide over to cover or uncover the page aperture causing the light sensing devices to send a signal to the microprocessor that tells the audio circuit which message to play for each page.
