Adaptable Hybrid Module Die Board

US Patent:
6523448, Feb 25, 2003
Filed:
Sep 22, 2000
Appl. No.:
09/668778
Inventors:
Long Chang - Irvine CA, 92620
International Classification:
B26D 726
US Classification:
8369831, 83653, 8369911
Abstract:
A die board assembly includes a support plate providing a plurality of through holes arranged along lines of an X-Y grid pattern. The support plate further provides a plurality of shaped apertures positioned within the support plate to a selected depth. One of the apertures is positioned between each pair of the through holes, the apertures providing aperture legs coincident with the lines of the X-Y grid. A plurality of rigid cylindrical receivers are adapted for engagement within one of the through holes and a plurality of resilient bumpers, are engaged within the cylindrical receivers for support thereof, each of the bumpers being segmented into a plurality of segments with segment spaces in separation thereof. A plurality of elongate blades each provide a working edge and in opposition thereto, an engagement edge, the engagement edge configured so as to engage a plurality of the shaped apertures and at least one of the resilient bumpers such that a terminal surface of the bumpers extends beyond the working edge of the blades relative to the support plate. Each elongate blade engages at least one of the segment spaces between the resilient bumper segments in support of the blade.

Auto Loading And Auto Dampening Cleaning Apparatus

US Patent:
7223036, May 29, 2007
Filed:
Mar 5, 2004
Appl. No.:
10/792754
Inventors:
Long Chang - Irvine CA, US
International Classification:
A46B 11/00
A46B 11/04
A47K 7/02
A47L 13/46
US Classification:
401191, 401270, 401280, 401290, 15228, 15231
Abstract:
An auto loading and auto dampening cleaning apparatus which comprises a base sweeping pad, a fluid reservoir superimposed over said sweeping pad which defines a slit between the two, a handle having a fork shaped frame which is rotateably attached to the sweeping pad. A lower roll bar contains clean, cleaning material and an upper roll bar receives soiled cleaning material. First and second trigger mechanism activates the roll bars and fluid reservoir to advance the cleaning material and disperse cleaning solution onto the cleaning material on the lower roll bar passes through the slit defined by the fluid reservoir and sweeping pad around the bottom of the sweeping pad and up to the upper roll bar.

Modular Die Board System

US Patent:
2002011, Aug 29, 2002
Filed:
Feb 27, 2001
Appl. No.:
09/794834
Inventors:
Long Chang - Irvine CA, US
International Classification:
B26F001/44
B21K005/20
US Classification:
076/107800, 083/698710
Abstract:
A modular die board apparatus comprises a plurality of rectangular support plates mutually positioned in an abutting relationship along peripheral edges. Each of the support plates provides a plurality of evenly-spaced apart, first apertures arranged in rows adjacent to, and in parallel-with, the peripheral edges. A plurality of fasteners, each providing parallel, spaced-apart legs depending from a bridge are adapted for frictional engagement with one of the first apertures in each of two adjacent of the support plates so as to hold them in rigid abutment and alignment. The support plates have a plurality of second apertures alternately spaced with a plurality of linear cuts forming a selected pattern within the support plates. A plurality of die impact effectors such as scorers and cutters are removably engaged within the second apertures and linear cuts and extend above a top surface of the support plates for contact with a workpiece.
